Dragging my two suitcases through the bustling arrival area, I scanned the crowd for a familiar face. I stopped when I heard someone calling my name from the left side. Turning, I spotted him, Mr. Choi—holding a banner with a warm welcome message written across it. A wide smile spread across my face, and I hurried toward him, feeling a wave of relief and happiness.
" Mr. Choi! I'm so glad to see you." I exclaimed as I approached him. He greeted me with a warm hug, one I hadn't realized just how much I had missed.
" I'm glad to see you too, Miss Yuna. How's Paris? And your mother?" He asked, taking my luggage with ease. " Mother is doing great, and Paris was as beautiful as ever." I replied, my tone dreamy. " My favorite moment during the stay was visiting the Eiffel Tower at night. It was breathtaking."
" Well, I'm glad you enjoyed your break Miss Yuna. But Miss Yuri has been calling me for hours, asking when would you be arriving back from Paris." He said with a chuckle as we exited the airport and walked toward a sleek black car genesis parked outside. I couldn't help but laugh, shaking my head at my best friend's attachment to me.
" Don't worry, Mr. Choi. I'll text her and ask if she wants to meet in town for some shopping." I assured him. As he opened the car door for me, and I slid in, pulling out my phone from my Chanel bag to check my messages. My phone had been off for the duration of my flight, and now it buzzed with notifications from friends and family.
It wasn't long before Mr. Choi joined me inside the car into the driver's seat after loading my luggage into the trunk. Starting the engine, as he drove us into the city that I had missed so much over the summer, the familiar sights bringing a wave of nostalgia and excitement.
