I was currently on my way to have a lovely chat with someone about my feelings. I wrapped myself in the biggest coat I own and the fluffiest scarf I could find, because knowing my luck, after lying about having the flu not even twelve hours ago, I would end up getting the worst cold to ever exist.
I stepped a single foot onto the cobblestone, "Ah, there she is, my favourite big ass bitch!" Heisenberg shouted in his regular over the top voice through his massive overhead speakers, "Here she is, coming to talk to the king of advice! Right through the doors, don't be afraid!"
"I'm not afraid," I murmur to myself.
As soon as Alcina left, yesterday afternoon I phoned Karl for his help, now that I've had time to think I don't know why I thought Karl would've been my best bet, but I phoned him and he told me to meet him at his factory. At 2 am. He better give me some good ass advice.
I walked through the metal gates leading to his factory and I followed the dirt trail leading up to the open doors. I surveyed the field outside of Hesienberg's place, a few tractors and cars lay on the grass and many piles of scrap metal littered the walkway,
"Marley! There should be a lycan around to bring you to me! Be careful not to hit your head on anything!" He laughed his obnoxiously loud laugh. He thinks he's so funny. There better be some liquid gold advice that comes out of his mouth.
I followed the lycan that brought me directly to Karl's headquarters. The lycan was growling the whole way, keeping its head down, I felt kind of bad for the thing. It's mates were probably feasting on some poor villager and this one was on escort duty. Then again it was kind of funny how I could practically sense it's want to pounce for me but knew it would lose the battle. It's amazing to hold that kind of power over something that if I were a couple of feet shorter would've made me into a personal chew toy. It's liberating.
I ducked through the doorway as the lycan stalked off to wherever the rest of its mates were. I looked into the room to see Heisenberg sitting on a stool, tinkering around with some engine,
"Ah, Marley," Karl smiled at me, "I've got to say I was more than surprised that you phoned me and not that mega bitch you've been wasting your time with,"
"You say wasting, I say enjoying," I smile, taking a seat on one of the metal stools lying around the room. Heisenberg's office wasn't clean at all, the floor was littered with grease rags and scrap metal, blueprints for multiple devices and work tools littered his desk, and there were hospital beds stacked in the corner of the room,
"Ha! Yeah, like someone could enjoy their time around her," Heisenberg laughed like I just cracked the funniest joke in the world, "Look at me, you've got me crying," he dramatically wiped at his cheeks as if he was crying,
"Yeah, funny," I murmured, "I did actually come here for a very real reason,"
"Right yeah, sure," Heisenberg wiped his hands with a greasy rag and leaned against the desk opposite the chair I was sitting in, "What is it? Is it Donna?"
"No, Donna is fine," I sighed, I can't believe I've come to this man for advice. I do not doubt that Heisenberg would laugh me out of his factory and make fun of me till the end of time over what I am about to admit, that seems better than letting my thoughts consume me and imploding from the insane amount of anxiety I'm feeling, "I am in a situation that sucks and I don't know what to do," I explained,
"Okay. You couldn't talk to Donna or Dimitrescu about this?"
"Donna wouldn't understand and I can't say this to Alcina," I murmured, focusing my attention on looking at all of the stains around this room, "This factory needs a woman's touch, ya know, it's very man cave,"
"Yes, well a man does live here," Heisenberg huffed out, "You know that if you want my help you're going to have to stop speaking in code and just tell whatever the fuck it is that you want to tell me,"
"Yeah, I know," I rubbed my face out of frustration, "I'm just weighing out my options,"
"Well, what are your options?" He crossed his arms over his dirty workshirt,
"I share my problem with you and get the piss taken out of me or I hold this in and overwork myself to death trying to distract myself from this," I groan, why is it so hard to talk to someone about my feelings?
"Marlene, I won't laugh at you," he seems genuine, "I promise," I have never heard Heisenberg speak in such a serious tone,
"I...I...I have the tiniest...Okay not the tiniest, it's pretty fucking huge...I..." I stammered out,
"For the love of Miranda, Marlene, just spit it out!" He snapped,
"I'm in love with Alcina," I shouted back,
"What?" Karl whispered, "WHAT!"
"Yeah," I whispered, hiding behind my hands,
"Dimitrescu? Mega-sized bitch? Vampire bitch?"
"Yes, that one," I snapped,
"Wow. Okay. I thought you were going to tell me that you were going to die or something, you know something life changing,"
"This is life changing, it is for me," I can't believe I ever came to Heisenberg, I could've gone to anyone else,
"Wow,"
"Wow, Salvatore would be more help than you're being right now," Heisenberg was sitting with his mouth wide open, staring at the wall opposite himself,
"You don't need to insult me, I just need a moment," He sat silently for a minute or two, I think this was the longest he'd ever gone without talking. Was my news really that shocking? "Okay. So you have a crush on your mega-sized twin. What exactly are you here for?"
"I need advice on what to do?" I practically screamed,
"Okay, well, what do you think you should do?"
"I think I should keep my mouth shut because I'm 80 per cent sure that she doesn't feel the same way I do,"
"What's the other 20 percent?" I gave him a confused look, "You just said that you are 80 per cent sure that Dimitrescu doesn't like you back. What makes you 20 per cent sure that she does?"
"Well, the other day she asked me out on a date I guess, but that's the thing I'm not sure if it was a date,"
"What makes you think it was a date?"
"She came all the way to mine and Donna's house and asked if I wanted to spend the day with her and then we walked all the way back to the castle holding hands and we just spent the whole day lying next to each other and we said nothing for hours, but it was the most comfortable I have ever been with someone. Then later on she kissed me on the forehead and we had dinner together and it was like, magical,"
"Sounds like a date to me," Heisenberg laughed in shock,
"But what if she just thought of it as a friendly day out, a 'you're big I'm big so we should be friends' day out?"
"You do remember that she didn't care if you were big when you met right, she didn't like you. But by some miracle, you won her over and now she is willingly spending time with you. Mother Miranda hasn't been in contact with any of us in 2 weeks so there was no way Dimitrescu was spending time with you on the order of Mother Miranda," Heisenberg explained to me, "Look she cares about you, that's the situation, if you feel like you can live with her not reciprocating your feelings than don't tell her but I think that if there were even a tiny chance that she might like you back than you should take that chance. Because like you said, you love her. Hang on to that 20 per cent with all your life and say something about it,"
"Wow." I am actually speechless, "Who knew you could be so wise?"
"I know how to fight for what I want," he smiled proudly, "I'm not called the king of advice for no reason,"
"Yeah sure people call you that," I laughed,
"Well, they should." Heisenberg scoffed before turning back to tinker with the motor from before.
He's right. They should. He proved my doubts wrong. I am going to listen to what Karl Heisenberg told me to do. What is going on with the world?
