Very Very Much

Harry's POV

I twist the promise ring on my finger. My thoughts haven't left Callie for 2 weeks since the last time I saw her. The kiss was perfect, and I long for another. I won't get another any time soon, though. SYCO is keeping us very busy. So busy, in fact that I haven't even had time to ask Callie what she wants me to send her for her 19th birthday next week. I've been planning something though. Something very very big.

"Harry!" Liam calls, pounding on the door frantically. "Open up, I need to get in!" I open the door and Liam stumbles. He regains his balance and starts to tear open the suitcases.

"Liam, what the bloody hell are you doing?" I ask him. He looks up at me.

"Oh, uh, nothing!" He says grabbing something out of the bag. "Just looking for my..." He looks down at the item he grabbed randomly.

"Your bra? Liam, that's Alyssa's bag." I tell him. His cheeks go red.

"I'm going to go work out." He says, backing out of the room bra still in hand. I chuckle to myself.

"DON'T JUDGE ME!" He roars from outside.

"I'm not! I'm not!" I say, laughing harder. Liam looks confused and drops to the ground and starts doing pushups. I squat next to him, grab the bra from his hand, and plop it right on his head.

Callie's POV

I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since I've seen Harry. We've talked on the phone, but only briefly. I wonder how he's doing. Hopefully he's fine. I just miss him, I guess.

"Callie, what were you thinking about doing for your birthday?" Daniel asks as I plop down on the table.

"I just want to go out for dinner, just like normal," I say.

"But you're turning 19!" He says, looking at me surprised.

"I know," I tell him just as my mom walks into the kitchen.

"Is Harry coming to celebrate?" She asks. I nod 'no'.

"He has a lot of stuff at SYCO going on and can't make it." I tell her frowning a bit. She nods like she understands, but I'm sure she doesn't.

"Well we're all free tonight. How about we go do something as a family," Mom suggests, "to get your mind off of it."

"That sounds fun, mom." I say, nodding.

"Let's go out and get some Mexican." Daniel suggests.

"I heard Mexican!" Jarrod yells pounding up the stairs from his room in the basement.

"We're going out!" Daniel Yells. "I'll start the car. Be outside in 5 minutes." Mom and I nod and Jarrod runs out to the car.

"It's been so good having you home, Cal." Mom says once we're alone. "It feels like you've been gone for so long. And you're all grown up, turning 19 in just 6 days. Oh Callie!" I'm afraid she's going to start crying, so I grab her into a big hug.

"It's okay, mommy," I say, "I won't grow up without you."

"Okay, baby," She says, letting me go, "I just want you to know I love you very, very much." I should have been touched by her words, or hugged her again, but instead I burst into tears. No no no, not because of the sincerity of the moment, because the last person who'd said that to me was Harry.
