I wake up to pounding on my door. I groggily get up and walk across the room and throw the door open.

"Happy birthday, Callie!" My family shouts, blowing party whsitles and clapping. I'm 19 years old. Wow.

"Thanks you guys," I say, "it really means a lot."

"No problem sweety, now hurry up, we've got a surprise for you in the kitchen." My mom says taking my hand. She leads me down the stairs and on the counter sits a computer. Skype is open, and on the other end sits One Direction. I sit in front of the computer.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLIE!" They all cry. I burst into a fit of giggles as Zayn jumps into Harry's lap.

"Our little Callie is 19!" Louis shouts waving at me.

"I know I can't believe it either, Lou," I say. Harry shoos them all away.

"Did you get my birthday suprise yet?" Harry asks me.

"No," I reply. "when did you send it?"

"It will get there eventually." He says ignoring my question.

"I've got to get going, I'm so sorry Cal, but I don't want to get fired. I'll talk to you tonight though, I promise."

"Pinky swear?" I ask, disappointed.

"Pinky swear."

"Cross your heart and hope to die?" I ask. Harry crosses his heart and I smile. He blows me a kiss.

"Talk to you later." He says, and the call ends.

"Come on Callie!" Jarrod says practically bouncing. "We're going to IHOP!"

"Or wherever you want to go." Daniel says.

"Ihop sounds good." I say getting up. "I'll be right back." I run up to the bathroom and plug in my curling iron. It's a special occasion, plus I want to look good in my birthday pictures. I apply more makeup than normal and then start curling my hair. When I'm finished, I head into my room, grab a pair of skinny jeans and a floral print top and throw a brown jacket over it. I flounce down the stairs.

"You look pretty, Callie." My mother says smiling. She hooks her arm around mine and we head out into the waiting car.

Harry's POV

"It's not that hard." Zayn reassures me from the back of the van. I'm shaking and sweating, but I'm sure I want to do this.

"Don't be nervous Harry." Liam tells me patting my back. I smooth out my khaki pants and do a few deep breaths. Everyone is here for me. Everyone is cheering me on. Why do I feel so alone?

"I know," I reply. My shaking worsens. I see the signal from Niall and Louis in the bushes and hop out of the van.

"You ready, Buddy?" Zayn asks, and I nod silently.

Callie's POV

I enter the restaurant with my mom still holding my arm. She's smiling ear to ear. I know she's got something planned. It turns out they reserved a table and we all sit down. Everyone in the restaurant is smiling. Yep, something is definitely up. Then, the music starts to play. The all too familiar guitar music. The guitar music to Harry's song. Oh. My. Gosh.

"Am I sleep am I awake or somewhere in between I can’t believe that you are here and lying next to me or did I dream that we were perfectly entwined Like branches on a tree, or twigs caught on a vine," Harry's voice streams through the building. This isn't a recording. His voice is shaking, like he's nervous, no, Harry is here. Harry is here for my birthday.

Harry's POV

I sing my heart out on the first line. This is the most soul I've ever put into a performance. When, I see Callie, I know she doesn't see me. She's smiling the biggest smile I've ever seen and looking around.

"Like all those days and weeks and months I tried to steal a kiss And all those sleepless nights and daydreams where I pictured this I’m just the underdog who finally got the girl And I am not ashamed to tell it to the world!" Louis joins me on the chorus.

"Truly, madly, deeply I am Foolishly, completely falling And somehow you kicked all my walls in So baby say you’ll always keep meTruly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you In love with you." I motion to Liam that I can't sing the next verse, because tears are springing out of my eyes. Callie's spotted me. I can't help it. I run up and kiss her. Somewhere in the background Liam and Niall sing about coffee and granola. It's the best kiss I've ever had, but I don't want to get too passionate. Callie's mom is here. I let go of her for the chorus

"Truly, madly, deeply I am Foolishly, completely falling And somehow you kicked all my walls in So baby say you’ll always keep meTruly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you In love with you." Here comes my favorite part, and I belt out the lyrics, the part of me that I feel whenever I'm with this girl.

"I hope I’m not some casualty I hope you won’t get up and leave Might not mean that much to you But to me it’s everything...Everything" And together, The boys and I sing out the last chorus.

"Truly, madly, deeply I am Foolishly, completely falling And somehow you kicked all my walls in So baby say you’ll always keep me Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love,"

"In love," I sing.

"With you,"

"with you,"

"In love,

"in love,"

"With you,"

"with you,"

"Love."

"in love,"

"With you,"

"With you oh" I finish. The restaurant breaks into applause as I head towards Callie.

"I meant every word." I whisper in her ear. The tears are streaming down her face as I do what I've wanted to do since the moment I met her. I get down on my knee and her hands cover her mouth. I reach into my pocket for the ring and pull it out.

"Callie Edwards, would you, please please please, do me the honor, and let me be the luckiest man on this earth, and be your husband?"  I ask. Callie can't even get the words out of her mouth. I start sweating again. The blood pounds in my ears.

"Wope Woee Be Mack?" I see Callie's lips move but I can't make out what she says.

"What?" I aks and everyone laughs. Callie breaks into a fit of giggles.

"Won't Louis be mad?" She repeats. I blush horribly and nod.

"Of course I'll marry you, Harry." Callie says and I get off the floor and pick her up bridal style, and kiss her on the lips. Everyone cheers as Callie and I kiss for the first time as an engaged couple.
