Vic's POV
I woke up and my body ached. I looked around to see Maiah on the ground in a little ball, on her phone. She kept sighing and grunting.
"Babe? What's the matter?" I said. She looked at me and she was crying.
"Come on. Talk to me." I said rubbing her back. I ignored the pain that was basically gone.
"M-my dad. H-he said that if I didn't come home he would hurt you." She said. I pulled her into a hug.
"It's okay, babe. Hmm. I can't leave you alone. I can't. When are your parents leaving on another business trip?" I asked.
"About two weeks." She wrapped her arms around me and I rocked her back and fourth.
"Matt set him up. I know it. I can't leave you alone though. He would come over and hurt you. How about I stay with you?" I asked and she looked me in the eyes.
"Could you? You would have to be hidden but I would spend a lot of time in my room, not that my parents care, and my parents are gone until 11 at night. I want to stay here. I hate MY house." She said. I held her tighter.
"Come on. Lets start packing. I'm coming in with you I don't care what your dad says." I said and she looked me in the eyes again.
"He's more nice at around this time. So is my mom. They go out and get drunk every night. They always take it out on my sister and I." She said pushing her forehead on mine.
"Your sister?" I asked confused.
"Olivia." She said looking down.
"Jaime's girlfriend?" I asked a little surprised.
"Yeah. We had to change our last names. I'm Crosby and she's Dawson. Our parents wanted us to not know each other. She lives with them." She said looking at my lips and then my eyes. I smiled a little and kissed her. She was ready and kissed back. When we pulled apart, we stood up and started packing. We finished in an hour.
"We're here." I said. She bit her lip.
"Okay." She said looking sad. "I don't want to live here."
"I know you don't baby. We have to keep strong until then, okay?" She nodded and we walked into the house.
"Hi! What the HELL is he doing here!?" Her dad yelled. Maiah looked at me and I wrapped my arm tightly around her waist. She wrapped hers around mine.
"He's my boyfriend. He's going to live with me. I don't care what you say." She said as she pulled me upstairs. Her dad stopped me.
"If you do anything to her I swear to god you're dead." He said as he released my shoulder. I nodded and walked up the stairs. At least I could stay here. We got to her room, and she pushed me on her bed. I sat and laughed. She jumped next to me and I put my arm around her. We sat there in silence for a while but she broke the silence.
"I told you he's nicer now. Just wait until he comes home. My mom will be nicer to us when she's not drunk." She whispered and I kissed her temple. Olivia came in the room and stared at us.
"Maiah!?" Olivia said as she ran to her sister.
"Hi!" Maiah said hugging her.
"I'm glad you've came back! Jaime's staying here too." A smile spread across my face knowing he was here.
"He's coming in about an hour. He's staying with me until they leave for business. What about you two?" She said and a light smile spread across her face.
"Same. You and Jaime could stay at my place after they leave; you can stay with us full time if you want." I offered.
"Are you sure? I would love to but I don't want to intrude." She said.
