Spidey and the Wolf

You're a . . . . werewolf!?!

There's a stunned silence. Then a burst of laughter.

They all turn to look at Ned. He stops laughing. "What?" He says. "If I didn't laugh, I'd scream, honestly I don't know why I'm surprised. We have people who can shrink their size, people who climb on walls, people who literally change their body structure and their skin color to green. Why am I surprised at this point!?!" He falls back onto his bed, with an exasperated sigh.

But in a moment he's back up again, shooting questions a mile a minute. 

"So how did you become a werewolf?"

"Were you born that way?"

"Do you always have multiple pups at once, and if so how many?????"

"Do you actually shift into a wolf or just get some characteristics!!?"

"What powers do you have???"

Scott looks overwhelmed, Peter snorts remembering Ned's interrogation of him when he told him he was Spider-man, and Mj, well, she doesn't look phased, but inside her brains working its gears and trying to figure things out, and coming up with the most likely scenarios of how this happened. 

Ned pauses for a breath, and Scott sees his opening. 

"Okay, so just slow down, okay?" He raises his hands up as if to calm a crazy animal. Ironic, Mj thinks. 

"To answer some of your questions, I don't shift into a wolf, I just have some characteristics. I have super speed, super strength, enhanced senses, stuff like that. And to the pup question, I don't know, I'm a teenager okay? No, I wasn't born this way, I was..." He pauses seeming as if contemplating something. "I was bitten."

Peter finally speaks up, "Where are you from? I feel like we'd know if there were werewolves running around New York."

"Well, I'm not from around here".

Mj narrows her eyes. "What do you mean by that?"

"I'll explain later, but for now we need to find my friends. They aren't like me, they're human."

Mj stands up, stalking over to where Scott's sitting. She crouches looking him in the eyes. "Let's get one thing clear. If you dare so much as hurt a hair on one of my losers heads, I'll rip you limb from limb." 

"Mj come on, leave him alone. He came to us for help." Peter grabs Mj's hand, pulling her away from poor Scott and and down next to him. "I'm sure you've thoroughly terrified him enough." She just huffs.

Peter rolls his eyes, and turns to Scott. "So, what happened, when you were bitten? How did you know you were a werewolf? Was it a ritual or an accident?"

Scott eyes briefly flash with annoyance, then he sighs,  his eyes giving way to humour, while worry flashes there too. "My best friend, Stiles, and I, well his dad is a sheriff right, so he heard that there was a half a body of a girl in the woods, the other half had already been found. Of course he got me to help him try to find it. In the dead of night. We split up and I found it alright." He smiles faintly, lost in the memory. "Scared me bad, but as I going to get out of there, something flashed in the corner of my eye, and came at me. Well I got bit, ran hysterically and long story short fell down a hill, almost got hit by a car and found huge a huge bite mark just below my ribs on my side. Well it heals quickly and my asthma is gone. I get enhanced sense, and abilities, and eventually I meet the werewolf who bit me and well a lot of things happen along the way and after that, but I'm not going to get into that."

Ned sits up. "You found a half of a body of a girl?"

Peter turns to look at him. "That's the only thing you got from that!?" 

Ned shrugs, "and the part about the scary wolf dude that bit him. Also you had asthma?" Ned shoots Peter a meaningful look. Peter ignores him.

Scott shoots Peter a sympathetic glance. "Anyways, that was a couple years ago, some stuff has happened meanwhile, villains, bad guys, murders." He shrugs. 

A thought pops into Ned's head. "Can we see your powers?" he asks excitedly. 

Scott grins. "I mean, sure." 

He lowers his head, and takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly. 

When he slowly raises his head, his features have twisted into something animalistic, and his eyes glow a freezing ice cold blue. 

Peter and Ned gasped as one. Mj's mouth dropped open slightly, but she shut it before anyone noticed, picking at a loose string on the carpet on the floor. 

He opened his mouth and they stared at his sharp canines. Ned's gaze was fixated on his long pointy-ish ears. "Um, whoa." Ned finally gasped out. 

Scott took another deep breath and his face went back to normal. Peter cleared his throat.

"So, where exactly did you see your friends last?"

Scott hesitated then said, "Right outside the portal we all got sucked into and then it spat out only me into this place."

Mj exchanges a look with Peter. 

"Um, by any chance was there a tall, serious looking dude, maybe not that good looking?" Peter asked. 

Scott frowned, "I don't know, maybe. Why?"

"Have you ever heard of the name, Doctor Strange?".

After explaining who the wizard was, they all left Ned's house and agreed to meet up tomorrow before school to come up with a strategic plan on how to find Scott's friends. 

It was decided Scott would come home with Peter, and stay with him for the duration he was here. Before they parted ways, Mj pulled Peter aside, and spoke in his ear, "Make sure you stay safe, got it? And if he tries to hurt you in any way, shape, or form, call me, okay?" 

Peter grinned at her. "You do know I have the ability to take care of myself, right?" He didn't mention being Spider-man for he remembered Scott had enhanced hearing like him. Though Scott had shared his secret with them, he still didn't trust him completely. For if Strange had portalled (don't know if that's how you spell it, or if it's even a word... lol ;)) him here, he must have had a reason, right? 

Mj smirked softly at him. "Just take care of yourself. I don't trust him. Something feels off." He stares into her eyes, and sees concern and worry there. He pulls her into a long passionate kiss, and pulls her against him, hugging her tightly. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me." He kisses her on the cheek, then walks back to where Scott's waiting for him. They watch her walk away in silence. 

a/n: Yeah, i know, still kinda boring, but I promise it will get better!!! Stick with me here!!! Just laying background and foundations down, so the characters know what the other characters can do and everything. Yeah, sorry. Cya on the next one!!!! ;)
