Peter glances up at the screen and into Mj's eyes, sure that she's staring into his as he feels the elevator start to plummet toward their deaths.

Peter hears a screech of metal and falls to the floor from the sudden stop, rubbing the back of his head where it hit the floor.
Peter glances behind him, seeing that their plan worked. As the man started talking again Peter slowly inched in front of Tony to block him from the elevator's camera allowing Tony to finish hacking into the elevator. Honestly he hadn't upgraded this elevator in years so it was kinda old (well, old for Tony Stark) and it had taken a bit to figure out how to hack it.
He glances up at the screen, to see Mj, Ned, and Pepper all watching him with wide eyes.
Peter turns to Tony, relief evident in both their eyes. Even though Peter knows Tony hates hugs, he still can't stop himself from walking forward and embracing him. Tony is stiffens for a moment and then hugs him back, resting his chin on the kids soft, curly hair.
Then a voice comes over the speakers to ruin the moment.
"Well not that this isn't touching but I have stuff to do, people to kill, revenge to take, you know how it is. Anyways, you have a minute before the bomb in Tony's lab goes off. And don't worry we'll be seeing each other again soon."
Peter looks up at Tony with a dazed expression before they both spring into action, Peter practically rips the doors of the elevator open -now that the electric shock is dismantled- leaving deep hand marks in the metal.
Both he and Tony sprint down the hallway, thankfully already on the floor with Tony's lab. Peter pulls ahead due to his inhuman speed, and slams into the doors of the lab full force remembering Mj saying they were locked. He bursts into the room crying out her name.
He gazes around him frantically, and stops short. They're not here. No one is here. The lab is completely empty. He then hears the doors of the lab slam shut behind him. He spins around, running to them, but the moment he touches them an electric shock throws him backward ten feet, and he lands on one of the tables, cutting his arm on the sharp object lying there. He feels panic taking over his mind. Black is growing at the edges of his vision and his chest is growing tight.
This doesn't make sense.
Where are they???? Where is she???
Is he in the wrong lab!!?!
They're going to die and it's all his fault for getting the wrong lab.
But pushing himself up and off the table, he sees this is the right lab.
That's when he remembers the bomb, and he hears Tony's panicked voice calling his name from beyond the doors, laced with desperation and grief.
And then everything explodes, and all he knows is pain.
His skin is on fire, and his mind is on fire, and everything hurts, and then there is nothing.
nothing....
a/n: yeah, I know this is short sorry, with another cliffhanger -poor Peter- but I'll be posting again real soon with a longer chapter probably today or tomorrow, I didn't want this to be so short but it needed to have the cliffhanger and I absolutely love writing cliffhangers. But I won't leave you guys wondering for too long. Cya on the next one!!! ;) (574 words)
