"Lisa, go get the boys. You can hang out with John but I need to discuss things with Aden." I flopped onto my futon and buried my face in my pillows. She said nothing and closed the door with a click behind her.

How was I going to state this?

Aden, I took some pregnancy tests and... then what? I don't have the heart to say anymore. Should I just let it drop? Perhaps I should just keep the results to myself.

Even Lisa was at a loss for me. She was conflicted upon seeing the results that still sit on the sink in the bathroom.

"Sara?" I didn't bother looking up. I knew it was Aden from the voice. My body went stiff and I refrained from moving.

"Hey Aden." He must have heard my muffled voice because he came over and sat down next to me. His hand rested on my lower back, a warmth flowing through my body and making it a bit stronger so I didn't vomit again.

"Can you tell my why Lisa said to come over here but not John? And can you also explain why you are face down and not looking at me?" I took a deep breath and could feel my heart pick up as I moved to face him.

"I...." I grumbled a bit and stood, pulling Aden up with me and towards the bathroom. Once both of us stood inside, I closed and locked the door behind me. I turned to a confused Aden watching my face for any sign as to what I was doing.

I couldn't find the words to speak so I just pointed towards the counter where the pregnancy tests still sit, untouched since I set them there. Aden's eyes went wide and he slowly approached the counter, body slightly tense. I bet if he was Oak right now, he would have ran over to see the results like Lisa and I had.

I climbed onto the counter, sitting next to the tests that determined Aden and I's future.

"So, just so I'm sure, the plus sign means pregnant, right?" I held my breath and nodded.

"Yup." My voice shook a bit. I had held the same expression he did now when I first saw the three (+) plus signs. No, I had practically died. Nothing had prepared me for being a mother, let alone at this age.

Aden gravitated over to me, his eyes no longer blue but shining a bright silver. I felt small as he stalked to me like a creature stalking prey. However, as I thought he was about to bite my head off and eat me, he crouched down so his head was level with my middle and wrapped his arms around my waist, Aden's face pushed against the thin undershirt I was wearing.

"Mine," he whispered out, a quiver in his voice. Smiling and letting the tears glide down my cheeks, I wrapped my arms around his head and held him tight.

"I'm sorry," I said, sorrow laced in my words. Maybe he didn't want children. I mean, we are still graduating seniors who plan to do things after high school. I want to run the dojo like my father before me and Aden, well, who knows? I bet children was on his list of things to do later in life. But even now as I thought that me not being protected when we had sex, it just made the entire focus of our lives shift to a whole new being.

"What are you sorry for?" I looked down at him, only to meet his silver eyes.

"For getting pregnant and ruining our lives... that is, if you will stay with me." He growled, almost menacingly and I could physically see the hairs on his arms turn black as his eyes shifted from a bright silvery grey to a dark menacing black.

"I'm not going anywhere Sara. I'm here for you and for our unborn pup. I won't let anything touch you or the being that will be born from you." I smiled and my brows knit together.

"Pup?" A giggle sounded with my words, the reminder that Aden wasn't a normal human and that half of him resides within me.

"Yes pup. Our child." He stood and positioned himself between my legs so that he could move his arms to around my upper waist.
