Once we were on the outside of town, I pulled in at a state park that just happened to be located right outside of town. Maneuvering my way through the park to a big meadow type of area, I worked on getting Oak's collar done. Scott had been very kind and paid for the food and the tags but it didn't come without a price. To pay for what I couldn't, I have to go to the club with him tomorrow night. Just my luck.

"You know Oak, you didn't have to bite him." I looked into the rear view mirror at the wolf like dog in the back seat. He wasn't looking at me like he usually did but instead he was looking at the door in front of his face. A twinge of sorrow filled his blue eyes like rain coming down when it's supposed to be sunny. I smiled at him.

"What's up boy? Why are you looking so down?" His ears perked up and his eyes raced to mine in the mirror. I looked back to the road just in time to find the meadow area of the park I was looking for. I looked back to Oak and grinned. His big tongue lopped out and I could tell he was getting excited.

"We're here boy. You ready for a fun time?" He began panting faster and barked his acceptance while his tail wagged a million miles per hour. I giggled and pulled into a parking spot devoid of any cars. Actually, there wasn't anyone here. Probably because it was Thursday and there is always so much going on on Thursdays for some reason. I turned off the car and hopped out, grabbing Oak's new leash and collar with his special tag on that his name and my number on it. Cell of course.

I went around to the back door behind the drivers and opened it to find Oak almost pouncing out. I blocked his escape route and put his face in my hands. He immediately calmed and licked my face. While he was calm, I took the time to slip his collar on him and adjust it to where it wasn't choking him but it wouldn't come off easily. I backed up from him and decided that it matched him perfectly with the little blue tag below it that was aluminum but strong. I didn't think that the one that was a grey silver would look good with his blue collar the color of a blue martial arts belt like the one I - and Aden - had.

I backed away from the door to let Oak out. He took off into the meadow like a bullet, rolling in what was left of the fields from the summer. I tossed his leash into the front seat and grabbed his new red Frisbee that was meant for air. I closed the door and turned back to the meadow. I whistled loud enough for Oak to hear me and watched as he stopped and looked at me. Seeing the red circle in my hand, he crouched down on his front paws and waited for me to throw it. I smiled and threw it like it was a ninja star, which I had a few, and watched as Oak ran after it with amazing speed and jumped as high as he could, catching it in his jaws and landing to the ground silently. He was like a ninja dog and I was his ninja master. I walked over to the middle of the meadow where I met Oak half way and attempted getting the Frisbee from him. Trying to pull it out of his jaws was useless so I tried tricks.

"Oak, sit boy," I gently said. To my surprise, he sat. I tried again to get the Frisbee from him but to no prevail. Maybe I should try another trick.

"Oak, shake," I asked him. He lifted his paw and set it in mine. I giggled and tried to get it from him. Again, I couldn't get it. I got him to lay down, speak, and roll over but I couldn't get the Frisbee from him. So trying to figure something new out, I put my hands on my hips. Then it came to me. If he followed orders like the easy ones, then maybe he followed this rule as well.

"Come here boy," I motioned him towards me. He walked up to me and looked up at me. I pointed at him and grabbed the Frisbee with my good hand, pointing with my bad.

"Oak, drop it," I commanded. It took him a few seconds to get it out of his jaws but he released it. Once in my hands again, Oak went into another frenzy because he wanted it again. I laughed and threw it, watching him dart at it and catch it mid-air again, and trotting back to me.
