These last few days have been exhausting, trying to adapt to having two kids instead of one. But so far, it's going good. Tommy's an amazing dad, always playing with the the kids when he can.Your brother and sister in law love to watch them, and Jake insists that he's Destiny's favorite uncle. The album that the guys put out with John did not do well at all. The tour was worse. Barely anyone showed up, and ticket sales were plummeting.
So, the guys did the right thing. They brought Vince back and are now working on their new album 'Generation Swine' which seemed to be a little more alternative than what they previously have put out. They have to keep up with the trends if they want to stay relevant.
Tommy talked to you about him writing his own song to put on the album. It was simply titled 'Cassie' and as you guess, it's about your oldest daughter. Your heart melted when he softly sang the lyrics.
"Babe you need to put that on the album." You said and the drummer smiled, "I definitely will. Was also thinking of singing it too."
You raised your eyebrows in surprise, "Really? You have the guts to sing on stage in front of millions of people?"
"Why are you acting so surprised about it? I played my drums upside down for fucks sake."
"I know but singing is a whole different ballgame. I'd be so nervous if I never sang in front of a crowd before until now."
"Well, I'm good at many things. Including making you c-"
"Okayyy..." you clapped your hands together as you got off the couch and walked into the kitchen. Tommy trailer after you, "Wait you're not mad at me right?"
"No, I just needed to come in here to get water I was gonna come right back." You laughed softly as his arms wrapped around you from behind. He rested his head on top of yours, before kissing your hair.
"Mmm. You smell so good." He took a whiff of your hair, "What shampoo are you using?"
"This strawberry scented one? I don't know, I got it at Walgreens awhile ago."
"It smells good. Keep using it."
"I will for sure now." You giggled and he gave you a kiss on the cheek. You heard Destiny start to cry, and before you would even turn around, the drummer was already running up the stairs. You sighed happily, before deciding to also check on Cassie since it's been awhile.
You walked up to her room, and saw her coloring in her coloring book. As if she noticed your presence, she lifted her head to look at you. "Hi mommy." She greeted.
"Hi baby. What're you up to?" You asked, sitting on your knees beside her. The little girl shrugged, "Just coloring. Is Destiny okay?"
"Yes, honey she's okay. She just cries when she wants something like a lot of babies do. Like you used to do."
"No! I did not cry!"
"Yes you did, but it's okay because that's just how babies are. And crying is a normal natural form of expressing how you feel." You wanted to make sure she knew that it was okay to cry. You're still trying to get Tommy to know that crying isn't unmanly.
"I know what I want to be when I grow up." She said. You raised your brows, "You do?"
"Yes." She smiled up at you.
"What do you wanna be?"
"Country music star!"
"Wow, a country music star? Not a rockstar like your daddy?"
"Nope. I love country music! Mommy, can we go to Na-nasshville???" She had a hard time pronouncing that word. She's very ahead for her age. She's an extremely smart child, she reads all the time and learns things quickly.
"It's pronounced Nashville sweetheart. And sure, your daddy's band always performs there on tours. So we'll be able to go." You said to the little girl. After awhile of talking, you got up and made your way to Destiny's room. You saw Tommy sitting in the rocking chair rocking her to sleep. It was cutest thing ever.
"Hey." You spoke softly, not wanting to disturb the baby.
Your husband smiled as he looked at you, "Hi."
You sat next to him on the ground, looking up at him with such adoration in your eyes. "You won't believe what Cassie told me she wants to be when she grows up."
"Please don't tell me she wants to be a stripper."
"Oh god no. I don't even think she knows what a stripper is. Which we should keep it that way, so watch your mouth around her she learns quick."
"Yeah, yeah. So what does she want to be?"
"A country music star."
"A what? Really?"
"You heard me."
"She doesn't want to be a rockstar like her daddy?"
"That's what I asked her and she said no."
"We've been letting her listen to the radio on her own will for too long. She found the country music station and that's all she listens to. I knew this was coming."
"Oh come on. At least she wants to do something in music besides, this will most likely change."
"I know, babe. Just would like to carry on the legacy."
"Maybe Destiny will carry it on. Maybe she'll like your drums."
"Oh as soon as she's old enough I'm teaching her." You laughed softly at that and leaned against his leg.
