*KAT'SPOV*
I didn't want Aiden to come back. I wanted a different waiter at a different restaurant, but I can't have that.
Aiden came back with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. Kyle said no and he left. I kept my head down pretending I was looking at the menu the whole time he was here.
When it was finally time to order I did so while looking down. Aiden finally left to go put our orders in.
"Kat. Are you okay?" Kyle asked. "You've been acting weird since we got here. If you wanted to go somewhere else you could've said something. I wouldn't have been mad, but now you're acting like you'd rather be anywhere but here. You won't talk to me. You won't even look up from the table. What is going on?"
"I'm fine. My head just hurts a little." I said quietly.
"Are you sure?" He asked doubtfully and I nodded my head. I knew he didn't believe me, but he didn't push it.
The rest of the meal was pretty much silent with a little bit of small-talk. We got the bill and left shortly after paying. He took me to a cute little ice cream place called Bear's.
We talked and laughed for a little bit until we heard thunder and saw some lightning. We ran to the car and drove to my house.
"I had a really good time tonight." Kyle told me with a small smile.
"Yeah I had fun." I replied with a fake one. All I could think about the whole time was Aiden. I couldn't get that boy out of my mind if my life depended on it.
Kyle started leaning in, but with my hand on the door handle and kissed him on the cheek. I couldn't be in that car any longer. I practically ran up the front steps of my house.
He drove away and I realized I was locked out in the pouring rain.
"Kat?" I heard Aiden's voice ask from behind me.
I whipped around to face him. In the dim light I noticed his jaw was bruised and he had various cuts all over him. "Aiden what the hell happened to you?" I asked with a slightly raised voice.
"I'll explain later. I need your help to get me cleaned up." he pleaded.
"I'm kind of locked out right now." I said gesturing to the door. I could bring him to Joey's. He only lives a few houses down. "Come with me." I grabbed his hand and dragged him down the street towards Joey's house.
I knocked on the door and about a minute later Joey opened up. I pushed him aside and walked in, still holding onto Aiden.
"K, what is going on? Why are you guys here and what happened to him?"
"Joey get the first aid kit and then I'll answer your questions." I ordered. Joey stood there for a second then rushed off to grab the kit.
"When we're done here you are explaining everything to me. Got it?" I basically told Aiden knowing I didn't leave much room for discussion.
"Yes ma'am."He said saluting me, earning him a smack because I wasn't in the mood.
Joey ran back into the room handing me the kit, then walked right back out knowing I would have told him to leave anyway. I took an antiseptic wipe and began to clean the cuts and scratches on his arm.
"Ouch. That really hurts." Aiden whined.
"No sh*t sherlock. It's gunna hurt." I snapped. Neither one of us spoke a word until I asked Aiden to take his shirt off.
He blushed and asked "Do I have to?"
"Yes you have to. Your shirt is ripped and I can see cuts that need cleaning. Don't be a baby and take it off."
He finally did as I asked and I knew the whole that I was cleaning his wounds he was as red as a cherry.
"Joey can you grab Aiden a shirt?" I called out knowing he would be waiting for me to say something.
I knew I was right when he walked in a few minutes later when he walked in with a white t-shirt. I handed the shirt to Aiden and Joey pulled me aside.
"What is going on? Why didn't you take him to your house?" Joey rushed out.
"I was locked out and my mom is working late like always. As for Aiden I have no idea what is going on." I replied with a frown. "We're leaving soon. Thank you for letting us use your first aid kit and house." I called for Aiden and pulled Joey into a hug to say goodbye.
Aiden and I made the short walk to my house. I had to climb through my window with his help and unlock the front door so he could easily get in.
"You have a lot of explaining to do." I told him while glaring at him.
"It's a really long story that I'd rather not tell." he said while staring at his feet as if they were the most interesting things in the world at this time.
"Yeah well I have a lot of time so start now."
