Kat's POV
As soon as his lips met mine I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach, and not to be cliche, but I felt some fireworks too. It wasn't a super passionate kiss, but a sweet one and I loved every second of it. All too soon Aiden pulled away.
"I.. Um.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done it." Aiden said while blushing furiously.
"Don't be sorry. I.. Uh... I liked it.." I said shyly, feeling self conscious all of a sudden.
"Really? You don't have to say that if you don't mean it. Actually if you don't mean it I'd rather you take it back right now so I don't get the wrong idea or anything. That's always bad and never ends up well for me, I mean maybe it could if I end up with the right person, but who knows if that's gunna happen." Aiden rambled.
"Aiden calm down, I meant it. Okay?"
"Uh.. Yeah... Okay..." He said while looking at the ground instead of at me. "I have to go... Bye!" He said so fast I didn't have a chance to respond.
Did I do something wrong? I didn't think I said anything bad. Why did he run away from me....
*2 Hours Later*
"KAT WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Abby yelled at me.
"I've been sitting here for a while now." I said with an attitude not because I was mad at her, but because I was still confused about Aiden.
Abby looked at me like a wounded puppy and I immediately felt bad.
"Abby I didn't mean for me to have an attitude or anything. I'm just confused and upset." I tried to explain.
"Look, it's fine. If some douchebag hurt you though just tell who who and I'll grab my lacrosse stick. Got it?" She said with an evil smirk on her face.
"Got it."
"Good. Let's hope for everyone's sake I don't have to go crazy. Kay?" Abby asked in an over cheery tone.
"Can we just go to your house? I'm not in the party mood anymore." I pleaded.
"Of course. There will always be more parties. I'm kindabored anyway." she said, but I knew she didn't want to leave. I feel bad for ruining her night but what was I gunna do? I couldn't just stay here thinking about Aiden.
Abby and I started walking home when I hear someone call my name. I turned around and I saw Kyle. "Abby we need to run. Don't turn around, just trust me."
"Fine, but you're telling me why as soon as we get to my house. Got it?" she said in a threatening tone. Then we heard my name again and started sprinting. Luckily, we both do three sports so we were in good shape.
When we got Abby's house she said "That sounded like Kyle." then noting my silence added "Holy sh*t it was Kyle! I'm going to kill him. I swear. I could use my lacrosse stick, but my field hockey one would hurt more. Actually do you think I could borrow your bat. That would make this so much easier."
"As much as I would love to continue planning murder, you can't kill him. Then I wouldn't have your crazy ass and life would suck, so please don't kill that jackass. Okay?" I say to her.
"Fine, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be happy about it. I'm actually gunna be pretty upset so thanks for nothing." she pouts.
"Can we please just go to bed. I'm reallly tired and I had a rough night." I beg.
"As long as you tell me why the party was so bad tomorrow over some donuts."
"That sounds great to me. Goodnight."
"Nighty Night."
*The Next Morning*
"KAT GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP BEFORE I MAKE YOU!" I hear my crazy best friend yelling at me, knowing that I'm not even close to being a morning person.
"I'm up." I groan with my face still buried in a pillow.
"Kaaaatttt I have food" Abby whines.
I shoot up in bed and run downstairs to meet a box of a dozen donuts just for me and her. "This is why you're my best friend." I say with my mouth full.
"You're disgusting." she says, but her mouth is full too. "Now tell me, what happened at that party."
