** AUTHOR'S NOTE **
I am so so sorry for not updating yesterday. I feel horrible about it so there should be an update coming tomorrow or two on monday to make up for it. I don't have a good excuse. It just didn't cross my mind yesterday and I'm not happy with this chapter at all. Well hope you can try to enjoy.

*KAT'S POV*

Abby and Joey came over bringing movies and snacks. We decided to watch The Breakfast Club, The Princess Diaries (both movies), The Lion King, and The Avengers. Quite the choices I know. Abby suggested The Nightmare Before Christmas but it just reminded me of Aiden.

Setting out skittles, sour patch kids, potato chips, Doritos, popcorn, and a variety of soda onto the coffee table and grabbing blankets for ourselves we decided we were ready to watch the movies.

Joey fell asleep halfway through the first one while Abby and I managed to watch them all. When the movies were over and knowing that Joey was a heavy sleeper, like the children we are, we drew on his face in lipstick and sprayed whipped cream all in his hair.

Leaving Joey on the couch Abby and I went up to my room and just talked. Not about Aiden or Kyle. Just talked like we used to. Abby shared that she had feelings for Joey. I wasn't surprised really and she knew I wouldn't be. I wasn't going to judge her for it and I think that's the biggest reason she decided to tell me.

She told me her parents are having problems and I shared with her that mine are too. We tried to bring the conversation back to a happy one like old times before high school and all the problems we've faced. I know she'll always be there for me so I'm trying not to worry too much.

We were laughing about how one time we got a texting app to mess with someone when we heard a scream from downstairs. It wasn't a manly one, but sounded like it would have come from a seven year old girl.

We started laughing so hard knowing it was Joey. We went downstairs and Joey was standing up looking extremely pissed off.

He met our eyes and all he said was, "Run."

Abby and I ran out of the house and Joey chased us down the street. I looked over at the local park and saw two guys arguing. Abby and I shared a knowing look and snuck closer. Noticing it was Kyle and Aiden we were about to listen in on their conversation, but Joey decided to be oblivious as always and called out to them.

"Hey guys!" He yelled.

Aiden and Kyle quickly stopped talking about whatever and said hello.

"We were just having a movie night, you wanna join?" At that moment I could have strangled my best friend.

When they were starting to decline Abby cut in. "It would be fun with you guys. Right, Kat?"

Shooting her a death glare I said "Yeah. So fun." through clenched teeth.

Giving up, both boys accepted and followed us back to my house.

Of course we had to pick out a few more movies, so we let Joey choose.

After popping in Thor everyone sat down. Of course I was stuck in between the two boys that I was trying to get my mind off of.

Both were extremely close to me. I was extremely stiff, trying not to touch either. Eventually I fell asleep.

Waking up the next morning I had my head on someone's shoulder. Tilting my head upwards I saw that it was Aiden. For some reason it felt right.

Taking a quick glance at the other couch I noticed Joey had his arm wrapped around Abby and her head was resting on his shoulder. After her confession last night seeing this brought a smile to my face.

Kyle was curled up by himself on the same couch as me and Aiden. Pretending that I wasn't mad at Aiden I snuggled closer to him and went back to sleep.

Everyone finally woke up a little after noon. We were all hungry so Abby made some pancakes.

Breakfast was quiet and a little awkward. I kept making eye contact with Aiden and I knew I had to fix this considering I started the fight.

Kyle got up and said he had to leave. Things seemed less tense after he was gone and I realized he was the biggest problem. Abby, Joey, and Aiden were giving him cold looks all morning and I knew they couldn't stand him.

Abby and Joey left about half an hour later, going to hang out at Joey's. Then it was just Aiden and I.

"I'm sorry" we said at the same time.

"I'm sorry I left after we kissed. I just didn't want you involved with anything that would happen with my sister's ex. I was scared you'd get hurt for some reason even though I know you wouldn't be around him, I just couldn't help it." Aiden told me, a look of sincerity in his eyes.

"I'm sorry for going out with Kyle and snapping at you. I should have known you had your reasons for everything."

Aiden pulled me into a hug. He apologized into my hair and I told him it was okay. Standing there in Aiden's arms things felt right. Anything that could be a problem melted away when he was around.

We spent the rest of the day together just messing around. Then for the second night in a row I fell asleep next to him.

*** AUTHOR'S NOTE ***
I'm sorry that was horrible, but at least it's something. I'll try to make the next one much better. Also I'm going to start another story called "The Road Back To You". The first chapter or prologue should be up by next week so look for that. Thanks for sticking with me guys! I'll try to keep up with updating.
