Chapter 8

At some point R and I had drifted off on the couch together and we over slept a little, as when we woke up we had no time to do much aside from get changed and head to school "How did we both over sleep!?" She says as we passed through my rift "No idea, but I'm not complaining. I haven't felt this good in a long time" I say walking with her to her class, once we arrived we still had a little time till the bell rang so I sat around with her "So who even is the ones picking on you?" I asked "Some girl on the prom queen sheet. I think her name was Kenzie something" she says "I see, I'll keep an eye out" I say "Why? Don't do anything to her!" She says "Oh I'll just give her some nightmares, aside from that I won't hurt her" I say as a few students walked in R leans over to me "That's her" she says. "Oh look who it is, the fat guy" she says. I stomped my foot making a stone spike appear from the ground jabbing up to her chin stopping at its peak making her have to tilt her head up. The rest of her crew scattered she also tried to run but I blocked the door with a stone wall so she couldn't escape. I decided to kill two birds and shapeshift back into my spider form, as my skin bubbled and bones broke the sounds echoing through out the room. Kenzie curled into a ball in the corner as a black liquid covered me as I grew before I outstretched my new form, I looked directly at her and clicked my fangs a few times before crawling over to her grabbing her, she screamed bloody murder as a few little spiders crawled out of my skin and onto her covering her in webs. I tossed her out of the room having dropped the wall, she ran away screaming as everyone else scattered about. I looked back at R and gave her a thumbs up before shape shifting back. Once I was back to normal I stretched and yawned "Is that what you attacked the others with?" She asked "Yep, the scariest physical appearance wise" I say "Yeah, even I'm creeped out at it's appearance" she says "You'll learn to love it, after all let's see if she torments you again" I say. The bell rang signaling class starting "Well guess you got to go" she says "Yeah see you around" I say. As I exited to the hallway I was met with students hesitant to get close so jumped up and stuck to the ceiling and crawled over them all before dropping to the ground again "Maybe we should change prom for him..." I hear one of them say. I made my way to class and showed up late as I had walked to entire way there "Oh Y/n, how kind of you to show up late after leavening early yesterday" the teacher says "Well as long as they don't pester me with pointless questions and excuses, I might stick around a bit longer" I say warping into my seat next to N. The teacher just rolled his eyes "I'm assuming you don't have a presentation for us then?" He asked "No, where we suppose to?" I asked "Yeah, it was our home work to share a special talent we had so we need to make a presentation" N says "Oh easy, I'll just show off my powers not like everyone has them" I say "Don't destroy the classroom" the teacher says. "No worry's I got a safe spot to take everyone, so I'll go last since we'll have to leave the classroom" I say "Alright" he says. I knew exactly what I wanted to do but I had to catch some Z's first so that's what I did.

I was woken up some time later by N "Get up! It's your turn!" He says shaking me, I sat up and rubbed my eyes "Have you been sleeping this entire time?" Lizzy asked "Yes, these powers aren't easy on the body" I say getting up. I walked to the front of the class and cut a rift "Alright, everyone through" I say. Most were hesitant to go through but those who had already used them went through without second thought, soon everyone had passed through and I went through before closing it. We were now in the evacuation area "Why are we here?" Rebecca asked "Just get over there behind me" I say pointing to the wall. Once they were out of the way I sparked a few times before lightning stuck around me, I held my arm up charging some before ripping it down causing a giant bolt to strike the ground, I made a clone of myself and went invisible at the same time making it appear as if I was still there. I walked over to the group leaning against the wall next to them, I made myself visible again "So cool or what?" I asked making them jump "How did you?" Uzi asked looking at the clone then back at me, I smiled and turn to face the wall and started climbing it "You can climb walls!?" V says, I leaped out to the middle of the room impacting the ground causing an explosion. I got up and decided it was time for the grand finale so I slammed the ground with my arms making it crack and split in several spots and lava spewed up and out of them, the ground suddenly fixed itself. I rolled my neck as it was sore and my body ached from everything as I had done it all so rapidly. I made my way over to the group warping over "And that concludes the don't piss me off presentation" I say, I cut a rift back to the classroom this time everyone passed through quickly and I closed it behind them sticking behind cause just as I had figured the bell rang, I was only able to hear it due to the sharp hearing I had "Time to go get R" I say cutting another rift, I met her outside her classroom she walked past me not noticing me so I took the opportunity to scare her, I snuck up behind her and grabbed her making her scream and jump. She spun around to see me laughing "You dick!" She says hitting me "Oh that was too good!" I say "I'll get you for that!" She says "Sure you will, just remember I'm nightmare fuel. Be careful who you try to scare" I say. I took her hand in mine and we walked through the halls only to run into Uzi and N "Oh hey Y/n! Oh you two are together?" N asked "Yeah, we got together yesterday!" R says "I'm happy for both of you!" Uzi says "Yeah, some good came out of all the shit I've been dealing with!" I say "Yeah you can say that again, and sorry about my wording yesterday, I meant to say your not really family but you definitely are a close friend" Uzi says "Ah don't worry about it, I kinda figured that, I was just worked up over the whole situation with Yeva" I say "Speaking of which she's been rather upset about how it all went down. She wants to apologize, even if you can't forgive her she wants you there for Doll" N says "Mmm, Doll has to apologize first, she's been a bitch to me lately" I say "Yeah, I've been hearing all about it" V says from behind us "Hey V, what's new in your neck of the crazies?" I asked "Nothing much, Lizzy's still a diva, Doll has been actually upset at your separation as her protector. Rebecca has gotten a boyfriend, and I'm still stuck listening to it all. Lizzy's parents are great tho" she says "Good to hear there's at least some good in your world" I say "Yeah, good to see your cozy R" V says noticing me and her holding hands "Yeah, he's rather comforting to be around, despite his temper and such" she says "Yeah she's nice, even with her mouth piece" I say "Hey! Your just as bad!" She says "I'm not denying it" I say getting a light chuckle from her "You seem a lot better Y/n, with you being away from Yeva and Doll" Uzi says "Mmm, it's been nice to be able to have some peace and a bed to myself" I say. "Yeah, I've moved back to my place, N is living with me now so I'm not so alone there" Uzi says "Do you want some help "cleaning" or are you leaving everything as is?" I asked "I'll probably pack a few of his things up but I'll keep most of it the way it is" she says "Well you know where and how to find me" I say "Actually where are you staying?" N asked "I've been living with R at her place" I say "And that is?" Uzi asked "East wing, apartment 23" R says "Oh, closer then I thought you'd be" V says "Oh do we live close to Lizzy?" I asked "Yeah, you just up the hall from her place, how have we never seen you leave before?" V asked "Probably because we use my rifts a lot" I say "That would explain it" V says "Well we should probably get going" R says "Yeah we have things to do as well" Uzi says "Alright, and Y/n please consider talking to Yeva and Doll, I don't think I can listen to her complaining anymore" V says "Not until I get an apology" I say before cutting a rift for R and I.
