Chapter 9

Two weeks had passed since R and I got together and things were going swimmingly, we didn't fight and we both agreed it was because we made digs at each other in our casual conversations, there was a few hiccups but we settled it after we sat down and talk about what we could and couldn't tease the other about, me being a monster, and her appearance were both off the table to torment the other about. But today was a new day and we were going to have another conversation, more serious then any of our others. But it had to wait till after classes since we were stuck in them, today was the last day of classes for a few weeks as prom was happening tomorrow, R had gone with Lizzy, Doll, Rebecca, V, and Uzi to get her dress picked out while me, N, Thad, and Rebecca's boyfriend Darren were getting ours. Class was rather loud and upbeat as there wasn't any work assigned as the teacher knew we wouldn't do it anyway. I mostly sat around chatting with N and Uzi but was approached by Doll "Hey Y/n can I talk to you?" She asked "What do you want?" I asked "I'm sorry, I've been rather rude the past little while and after much thinking I want you back as my guardian" she says "Hmm okay, I'll keep an eye on you again" I say "Really? Just like that!?" She asks "Yes, I'd take it before I change my mind" I say "Does this mean you'll move back in?" She asked "Uhh no, R and I are happy together and enjoy our privacy. I'll be staying with her, but here's my number if you need me for anything. Middle of the night or not you can always message me and I'll be there in a heart beat" I say slipping her a piece of paper with my number on it. "Oh, can you talk to my mom? I know you and her are on bad terms but if your looking after me again you way want to patch things up with her. For my safety, she's been rather cold since your argument with her" she says "Oh? Cold how?" I asked "Yelling more, she doesn't cook much and if she does she takes most of it, last night I had to stay at Rebecca's cause she locked me out. I'm lucky some days to even get a hello or goodbye from her" she says "Yeah I'll talk to her after classes" I say pulling my phone out to message R, but she had messaged me first "Can you cut a rift to your class, teacher is letting us go see our friends since we aren't doing work" she says, I sliced a rift open and put she popped "Hey!" She says leaning against the wall everyone greeted her in there own way, "Perfect timing R, we have to delay our chat tonight. Seems I have to talk to Yeva" I say Oh how come?" She asked "She's been neglecting Doll. Seems me leaving her and disowning her as family made her lose sight of her daughter" I say "Oh yeah that's a little more important then our conversation, it can wait till after but we still have to have it" she says "What do you even want to talk about?" I asked "Uhh it's private" she says "It's sex talk!" Uzi says "No!" R blurts out blushing. "Relax Pumpkin, that's an important conversation to have in every relationship. No reason to be embarrassed or worked up" I say "Easy for you to say!" She says pulling her hoodie over her head "No he's right R, it's important you both understand each other and have your boundaries set. Other wise things can get awkward or even uncomfortable between the two of you" N says "Why are you guys so casual about it!?" She says "Because there right, wanting to have that conversation while it's awkward it makes the bedroom feel more natural and comfortable knowing the other won't do something you don't like, my Ex and I were very open with each other and even had the conversation a few times as we branched out to try new things" Doll says. "Alright your kinky got it" I say "And? So what I'm aloud to enjoy my private life" she says "Did I say it was a bad thing? I'll never nack something until I try it" I say "Okay that's enough, let's drop this topic and get back on track. Do you need a place to stay while he talks to your mom?" Uzi asked "No, I want to be there with him." She says "Alright, does you mom still miss me?" I asked "It's hard to tell, I hear her sobbing she wants you back from time to time while she's drinking, but last time I asked when she wasn't drinking she slapped me and threw me into my room" she says "Uhhh" R says giving me a concerned look "Doll, I don't want you going home tonight, even if things go well. You can stay at our place" I say as R agrees "Yeah, she shouldn't have hit you over a question" R says, just then the bell went and we all got up and left the classroom "So I'll see you at home?" I asked R "Yeah, I'll be waiting for you two, and I'll cook tonight, you take care of her" with that we went out separate ways.
