Devari Perished!? Skarra's Deadly Emotion...

Yuki gasped as the brute clones fist smashed through her ice to hit her in the stomach. She was caught to stand beside Choji as she spat blood, "are you okay?" He asked. She wiped her mouth with a nod, "I've been hit harder". "By what!?" He questioned surprised, then added, "never mind, this is impossible, we have to get past his defenses!" They glanced back at Skarra who seemed to be trying to help Seth. "OW!" Tanjiro cried as his earthly boulder broke apart firing little pellets, one of which hit him in the privates. Tonton stood in front of him, "Jiro, quit cradling your balls and give me an opening!" Tanjiro frowned at her clearly still in pain, "I gave it to you and he blew it back at my penis!" "Oh right... so take a load off then, I'm sure the big guy will give you a pass for being hit in the no-no spot!" Tanjiro gritted his teeth then thrust his hands up in frustration. The clone grunted as the trees grew vines and began restraining him. Yuki tapped Choji, "Choji". "Got it", black vines joined Tanjiro's in tying down the monstrous clone. Yuki watched as Ryku created a small round ball and fired it at the clone, on it's way Yuki added her ice around it, Tonton span giving it a kick to help it fly faster. When the ice hit the clone it softened his skin before shattering, the metal bullet entered his chest stopping in his heart. The clone froze and ceased moving. "That's more like it", Tonton nodded tapping Tanjiro's shoulder, he sighed with relief, seconds before being knocked back by vines thrown by the buff clone. "Jiro!" Tonton called. They all looked at the clone, "oh you've gotta be kidding me!" Choji yelled. "Ryku..." Skarra called gaining his attention, she could tell he was tired and wobbly from using so much iron, "It is my turn". Ryku nodded and sat beside Seth, "how is he?" "I'm unsure, he has needed a lot more energy than normal humans, the rest is up to him". "Skarra", he grabbed her hand, "remember, not too much emotion or you'll kill us all..." Skarra glanced at Seth who's eyes were now closed, his wound was no longer bleeding, "I can control it now", she said but he could tell she was just saying it to ease his worry. The buff clone pulled a tree out of the ground, "RAAAGGHHH!" He gave a war cry before tossing it towards Yuki and Choji. Yuki tensed, suddenly feeling like she couldn't move, even Choji who was about to stop the tree from smacking into them, felt paralyzed, "w-why can't I-?" His breath caught. Skarra stretched out one arm and caught the tree with one hand. As it touched her hand it exploded outwards, the clone shielded his face as the splinters entered his body. Choji fell to one knee, Yuki glanced at him then Skarra, "y-your power... it's choking us", she warned. Skarra looked at her and took a breath, "you have a moment to step away", she replied. Yuki quickly yanked Choji to his feet and rushed towards Tonton who took Tanjiro into her arms, "follow me!" She yelled. Tonton looked up and did as she was told. They paused beside Ryku and Seth, "what's happening!" Tonton asked. They glanced down at Ryku as he said, "don't be afraid, try not to feel any emotion. It's okay to cry..." They watched tears fall from his chin.

Rex flinched back as two clones emerged to fight him and Zayla. He squealed after being grabbed and, shoved against the wall. Zayla hit the clone that attempted to attack her in the gut, she then flipped him onto his back and punched him in the face so hard it knocked him out. She glanced at Rex who adopted a brave expression, he kicked the clone holding him in the crotch then pushed him back to elbow his cheek. The clones head hit the wall knocking him out. Zayla seemed impressed, "not bad", she mused. Rex straightened his top, "yes well... shall we get a move on?" They reached a door with a window and peered in to see Dash standing beside an unconscious Bodoku seemingly staring at him. Devari was walking over with a syringe of white liquid. Zayla tensed and reached for the handle but Rex grabbed her wrist, "wait!" "What are you doing!?" "Look..." They watched Dash step in front of Bodoku, "hold on, what is that?" He asked. Devari's eyes narrowed, "why does that matter Dash, step aside?" Dash gulped feeling conflicted, "i-it won't hurt him... will it?" Devari placed a hand on his shoulder, realizing he must have remembered something about Bodoku, "not at all, it will make him sleep like Zayla, that's all". Dash nodded and stepped back. Zayla gritted her teeth, "that's it..." She pushed Rex away then booted the door so hard it flew off of its hinges just missing Devari and Dash. "Put that down!" Zayla yelled. Devari faced her with surprise, "Zayla..." He noticed Rex hide slightly behind the door frame, "Rex", he added with a growl. Rex gulped feeling a shiver up his spine. "Step away from Bodoku! NOW!" Zayla demanded. Devari dropped the needle and shrugged stepping away slightly, "Zayla sweety, you should be in bed-" "Save it, you told me that if I came here peacefully, my friends would be left alone! But you..." Devari stared at her with a plain expression, "they were planning to come and get you, but you are mine... I won't let you go!" "You won't have a choice, it's done now... I'm leaving and I'm taking Bodoku and Rex with me, if you try to stop me... I will kill you". Devari snorted, "my dear, you will never make it out of here, and when you are recaptured I will have your friend and that traitor executed". Zayla eyed him, her gaze flickered as Bodoku let out a breath, Devari held a hand over the needle. It zoomed up into his hand and he grabbed Zayla. Before the needle could pierce her skin, Dash pulled Devari back and punched him in the face just hard enough to make him stagger. Devari whipped round to turn on him, and blasted him into the wall with a dark power. As he faced Zayla he froze wide eyed, "Z-Zayla..." She was only briefly surprised, overcoming the shock of her actions as she pulled her flaming hand from his chest and gave a dark glare, "I warned you", she muttered in a low tone. He dropped to his knees, blood coming from his wound and mouth, "my niece..." he reached a hand up to leave bloody finger smudges on her cheek, then fell onto his side. Zayla blinked down at him. Rex approached, "you killed him..." She looked at him then faced Bodoku, "help me". Rex gave a nod and began releasing the restraints while she attempted to get Bodoku to wake up. She held his face, "Bodoku? Can you hear me...?" He didn't move, she checked his pulse, "his pulse is weak... what did they do to you?" She felt her lips tremble but shook her head, now wasn't the time to get emotional. She felt goosebumps when he breathed in, but not out. "Bodoku? No... I can't lose you again... I won't go on without you this time! So you better wake up you idiot!" After a few nerve racking seconds he coughed breathing out, his eyes opened slightly and he looked at her, "Z..ayla?" "Oh!" She hugged him letting her tears flow, "you dummy, I thought you died!" He managed to moved his arm onto her back, "never... you're stuck with me... ugh..." He coughed again. She gulped and straightened looking down at him, "are you okay?" He looked around lazily, "my arm is hurting more than anything..." Rex circled round to the knife, "I'll get something to help", he rushed to the cupboards on the wall. "Who's the new guy...?" "That's Rex, he uh... is helping". Bodoku gave a weak slow nod then his eyes widened, "Tidus!" He started off a coughing fit. "Easy!" Zayla warned holding a hand on his chest to keep him still, "Tidus is... he died after you-" "No... his alive... Dash..." Zayla felt her heart thud, "Dash is... Tidus?" Bodoku nodded. "But he can't be he..." She cut off recalling what he had just done to protect her. "Devari... brainwashed him", Bodoku added. Zayla gulped and walked over to Dash who was stuck slightly in the wall unconscious, she nervously reached up to touch his mask. Before she could pull it off, Dash flinched awake and grabbed her wrist, "Zayla..." He muttered. "Tidus?" She swallowed hard as he let her take his mask off, her eyes flooded, "it is you. I thought you were dead..." He looked at her, "I remember you. We were... friends". "We still are you idiot... you were brainwashed by Devari..." Tidus frowned slightly then looked over to Bodoku, "I-I hurt him...!" He struggled trying to get out of the wall but his bottom was stuck which made Zayla chuckle, "calm down, his alright. Here", She held her hands out and pulled hard yanking him forward. "Thanks..." He walked to stand beside Bodoku, "I... there are no words-" "Stop. I've done worse to you... when I was being controlled by Dahlia..." Tidus struggled to remember, "Dahlia... the siren?" "That's right". "But I-I tortured you... you could have died..." Tidus looked away ashamed, he glanced down as Bodoku grabbed his hand, "I forgive you squirt". Tidus snorted and smiled, "I'm sorry", he wiped his eyes. Rex gently moved him aside, "this will only hurt for a few seconds", he told Bodoku. "Do it... ARGH!" He grunted as Rex pulled the knife from his wound, he then sprayed it with a blue mist. "This will make it heal faster and prevent infection", he bandaged the wound, "but be warned it also has some weird side effects..." They all looked up as an alarm shrilled through the spire. "Dammit! I should've killed Torlan when I had the chance!" Zayla growled. "Help me up", Bodoku said. He gripped Tidus' arm holding in a groan as he sat up and froze. "Bodoku?" "The room is... spinning..." He glanced at Zayla as she joined them, "we better get a move on before-" "Whoa..." Bodoku interrupted. "What? Are you okay?" "Zayla your hair is so shiny..." He glanced at Tidus, "your hair is blue!? When did that happen? Is it the air in here? Is m-my hair blue too?" Zayla and Tidus frowned at each other then gave an accusing glare to Rex, who gulped, "I did say the spray has side effects..." Tidus grabbed him by the collar, "side effects! His loopy!" "Easy", Zayla tapped his arm, "you two help Bodoku, I'll remove anyone who gets in our way". Tidus and Rex put an arm of Bodoku's over their shoulder, "and if we run into Marnie?" Tidus mentioned. Zayla looked towards the door, "hopefully we don't..." She opened the door checking both ends of the hall, "we're clear for the moment..." As soon as they all stepped out Bodoku groaned, "my legs... they're like jelly or somethin'... hehe listen to me. I sound like Tonton HELLO SWEETY I'VE GOT YOUR MEDICINE!" Tidus put a hand on his mouth, "Rex what the hell did you give him?" "The healing spray... maybe because he doesn't have z energy in his body it's reacting badly..." Rex froze shrinking back as Bodoku glared into his eyes, "don't I know you?" He said in a menacing tone. Rex gulped, "uh... no?" Bodoku threw his head back whooping in a large breath, "that's it! You look like a guy I knew once, he had your eyes", he nodded. "Rex let him go". Rex released Bodoku so Tidus could set him against the wall, "I'm really sorry about this but it's for your own good-" He raised a fist. "Hey, is that Torlan? He killed you! I've got a bone to pick from him!" Tidus kept him against the wall as they all turned to see Torlan coming towards them with a dark scowl. "Crap..." Rex said. Zayla stepped forward but Tidus cut in front of her leaving Rex to guard the weird wobbly Bodoku. Torlan frowned, "Dash, what're you doing?" "You know that's not my name Torlan. Y-You stabbed me... I remember now. You brought me here and saved me, so that Devari could brainwash me. And you could what? Fabricate our friendship". Torlan slouched, "that's what you think? That our friendship was fake?" "Damn straight", Zayla spat. Torlan ignored her, "Fine, so your Tidus. But I really do view you as my friend... I have never cared for anyone before but you... in these three months I've changed and so have you". Tidus watched as he drew his scythe from the darkness, he drew his dual blades. Rex stood directly Infront of and against Bodoku so he wouldn't move, or fall down... Zayla joined Tidus, "he only changed because Devari turned him against us, if you were his friend truly then you'd let us go". Torlan laughed just now acknowledging that she was standing there, "I can't do that". "You mean you won't". "Fine, I won't do that", he looked at Tidus, "stand by my side". "Stand by mine", Tidus retorted, "we can still be friends Torlan, help us get out of here and all will be forgiven". Torlan bit his lip, for a split second the thought crossed his mind, but then he remembered what he'd done, he laughed shaking his head and swinging his scythe around, "no". "Why?" "I killed your friend, Seth". Bodoku glared up at him, "Seth?" "Yeah that traitorous clone, and I left the rest of your scummy friends a little gift before I left. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they were all dead by now, including those annoying twins-" He cut off giving a grim smile to Bodoku as he tried to lunge at him, but Rex held him against the wall, "that's enough! You can't fight in your condition!" Tidus stared at Torlan, "that's a shame", his blades lit up, one with fire and the other with electricity, "I can't forgive that". Torlan felt slightly betrayed, "It doesn't matter, because you can't win either, so them I'll kill. But you and Zayla will be prisoners, until Devari can fix you memory that is". "Devari is dead", Zayla cut in, "I killed him". "You turned me against the people who saved me, my family. I tortured my best friend... and even after that... I was willing to forget..." His grip tightened, "but Seth... and the others..." his hands shook, "Zayla. We'll kill him together, are you strong enough?" "I am", she gritted her teeth with a nod. Torlan vanished into the darkness, his voice echoed through the hall, "be warned, you only have abut ten minutes before Marnie comes here and kills you all! Think you can defeat me in that time?" Rex gasped as black smoke began to envelope Bodoku from inside the wall...

Skarra approached the brute clone with one hand held out, he thrust several large objects at her, anything he could get his hands on to stop her from coming closer, but they all smashed before even nearing her. "You hurt my friends..." she muttered, "you killed Seth and you have taken Bodoku and Zayla from us! You will make the world suffer no more!" She took a breath then screamed, the clones skin began stripping from his body, it was as if it was melting, easily becoming like flapping string. As her scream became more intense, the trees in the direction of her scream blew out of the ground and began to decay. The clone dug his feet in the ground attempting taking steps towards her. "She... needs help..." "Stop!" Ryku grabbed Yuki's arm, "any closer and you'll be caught up in her emotions and die... can't you feel that?" Choji leant away from them and threw up, "uh... I can..." Tonton squinted, "It's like the worst headache I've ever had..." She moved further away dragging Tanjiro with her, Choji followed. Yuki glanced down at Ryku, "why aren't you affected?" "Because, I cry, I can not explain it". Yuki looked ahead beginning to feel her heart race, she glanced at Seth, "is he dead?" Ryku had been holding his fingers on Seth's neck the whole time he'd been sat with him, "his pulse is slight, but it's there..." Yuki tensed, the thought of losing the one person who understood her and had been there for her the most in the past three months overwhelmed her, she grabbed her chest then frowned as a tear left her eye. She touched the tear, "am I... crying? I never cry..." Ryku gently laid Seth's head on the ground, "I have to stop her. Please tend to Seth", he jumped to his feet, Yuki sat before Seth putting his head into her lap as Ryku raced over to Skarra. Yuki leaned over Seth until their foreheads were touching, "you will not die... do you hear me Seth? This isn't the end for you... we still need to help Zayla and Bodoku, we can't do that without you... so you can't die..." She opened her eyes hearing him take a breath, "Yu......ki....." He managed to whisper faintly. Yuki smiled, "that's right, I'm here...". She checked his pulse that was gradually growing stronger. Ryku joined Skarra, "it's too much Skarra, get it under control!" "His nearly finished!" "Fine, we'll finish him together", Ryku crafted the iron armor around himself then thrust out his arm. The iron melted from his body becoming a grey liquid puddle that went across the ground and began climbing the clones legs. The clone screamed and gurgled as grey bubbles went into his mouth and pores drowning him from the inside. Ryku fell to one knee clutching his chest. Skarra immediately stopped her power, "Ryku! I'm sorry was it me!?" "I'm fine...." "Was it me!?" "Skarra!" She gasped staring at him, "I have used too much of my energy... it wasn't you". Skarra breathed out, "I apologize, I should've listened to you... are the others alright?" "They are fine, all but... Seth". They faced Yuki as she called out, "take it easy! You were technically dead a few minutes ago Seth!" "M-my glasses..." he croaked. "Try not to talk yet", Tonton ordered. "I'll find them", Choji reassured him. Tanjiro coughed jumping awake, "what happened!? Where is the...?" He looked at the steel coated clone and slouched, "oh..." his eyes brightened when he saw Seth was awake, "hey, you didn't croak!" "Not... yet", he replied his voice coarse. Tonton slapped Tanjiro's arm, "don't make him talk!" "Ow sorry..." Ryku and Skarra joined them, "so that's the kind of power you've had to put up with..." "That's nothing, wait until you meet Marnie", Choji muttered, "although I think your sister would give her a run for her money-" He froze as Skarra glared at him, "you're Choji..." Choji tensed, "Uh... yeah... oh, oh. Wait! I-I'm not after you or anything I'm a good gu-UGH!" He remained calm as Ryku grabbed his arm twisting it up his back then put his arm around his neck. "Whoa! Slow down!" Tonton said. "Do you have any idea what you put us through, my sister and I spent weeks on the run from you, and now you're a friend?" "That's right..." "You think we buy that?" "I hope you do... because it's the truth-" He choked, cut off as Ryku squeezed harder, "it would be so easy to snap your neck..." "Don't!" Tanjiro yelled. "Here him out!" Tonton pleaded. Skarra said nothing, she wanted him dead just as much as her brother. "Hold up", they turned round to see a woman in black and white trousers and a white baggy shirt, she had a mask tied around her head, her long green hair sat past her shoulders, "what's all this about then juicy fruits?" They stared at her in confusion, she winked at Tanjiro and smiled.
