We were back home and I was mentally and physically tired. I still had to unpack wash clothes and all the other household things.
"Baby!" Deshun yelled throughout the house.
"Yes?" I said going downstairs.
"I have your letter from Illinois State University." He said coming behind me.
"Are you serious?" I said looking scared.
"Yeah." He said handing me the letter.
I wasn't about to open it without Ambrie being there with me.
"Okay let me get Ambrie to come over, I need some mental stability if I don't get in." I said breathing in deeply.
"Wait so I'm not enough help?" He said.
"I didn't mean it like that, I was saying like she knows how it is to be turned down for things, and I really don't." I said trying to make up for what I was saying.
"Yeah sure." He said leaving me downstairs.
I don't know why but he just seems to be on the edge.
I called Ambrie to come over.
"Hello." She said into the phone.
"Yeah come over I got my letter today."
"OH MY GOSH! I'm on my way." She said.
I giggled "Okay" and hing up the phone.
I put the loads of clothes into the washers that Deshun had but never learned how to use.
Paige came upstairs to my room when I was done.
"I just wanted to thank you for allowing me to come and spend time with you all." Paige said in her sweet little voice.
"Oh baby girl it's nothing." I said giving her a hug.
"We are family after all." I said looking at her.
"Yeah we are. Well, I have to get home because I don't have time to hear my mothers mouth." She said laughing.
"Yeah," I said giving a fake smile,"tell dad to call me." I said walking to the bathroom.
"Sure thing, bye now." She said leaving me in the room to think.
I went into the bathroom to take the test. I was nervous, scared, happy, and annoyed all at the same time.
I peed on the stick, this whle thing can determine my whole future.
I heard the doorbell and left the stick in the bathroom to answer the door.
It was Ambrie loud mouthed pregnant ass.
"Hey loud mouth." I said hugging her.
"Bish shutup." She said walking past me.
"No hug, okay I see." I said getting in my feelings.
"Get out cha feelings ma'am." She said snapping me out of it.
"Back to this letter though." I said making that face that me and her make at each other.
She busted out laughing.
"Yes, I am too ready to see what it is." I said.
Deshun had left the letter on the counter for us to open.
"Deshun come down here so we can open this letter." Ambrie said yelling.
"Well got damn," I said looking at her,"we have that appointment today." I said.
