“Mom, let's scoop the food ourselves,” Phra Phai said when he saw his mother pretending to put rice in the pot on a plate for him. Phai hurriedly went to snatch the spoon from his mother to scoop rice onto a plate. Phra Phai's mother backed out and let her son take care of it himself. Phra Phai scooped rice onto a plate for Phakin first. And then some for himself.

"Won't you eat together with us?" Pakhin asked, the monk's mother shook his head.

“I've had dinner in the evening. This was done for Phra Phai. He looks this small But has a very good appetite,” said the Mother making the monk's face turn up a little bit who was teased by his mother in front of the Pakhin. Pakin smiled a little because the side dishes that were seen in front of him were enough for 3 people to eat right away.

"Let's eat, I'll go watch a drama first," said Phra Phai's mother, smiling before walking out of the kitchen for Pakhin and his son to eat together.

"Er... Phi, you can eat these side dishes, right? " Phra Phai asked. Pakin looked at the food in front of him. Basil chicken, omelette, sweet and sour stir fry and boiled gourd

"Why do you think I can't eat?" Pakin asked in a calm voice while looking at the young man's face causing Phai to lower his head slightly because he was afraid that he would say something to make him dissatisfied

“What's up, hmm, why do you think I can't eat?" Pakin asked again.

“Well... I'm afraid the taste of the food won't be to your liking,” Phra Phai replied in a soft voice. He felt hot flashes every time he was stared at by Pakhin so intensely. Even though he didn't fully see if Pakhin was staring at him or not. But Phra Phai felt hot anyway.

"You think your mother's cooking isn't good?” Pakhin asked back. Phra Phai immediately shook his head.

“No, my mother cooks delicious food,” Phra Phai hurriedly argued back causing Pakin to lift a slight smile to his lips.

“Then why should you be afraid that the taste of the food won't suit my palate? Besides, I'm an ordinary person. I'm not an angel. I can eat what others eat too," Pakin replied because he knew what the young man was thinking.

"I'm sorry," said the monk in a low voice.

“Excuse me, you didn't do anything wrong...Should we start eating? Or it will get cold soon," Pakin said to cut off the topic. Phra Phai, therefore sat down to eat together with him. Phai ate while secretly looking at Pakhin as well because he wanted to know how Pakin will react when eating food cooked by his mother.

"It's delicious," Pakin said, looking up at him causing Phai to hurriedly avoid his eyes and scoop more rice into his mouth because he was afraid that Pakhin would know that he was secretly watching him.

“Is it true?” the monk asked back. Pakin nodded in acceptance.

“Mother would be delighted,” Phra Phai replied with a smile. The two of them finally cleared the food on the table. Pakin got up to collect the dishes.

“Where do you wash the dishes?” Pakin asked.

"No need, I'll wash it myself," Phra Phai said hurriedly.

“When you went to the elder's room and I cooked for you to eat. Then you volunteered to clean it too because you saw that I had cooked it for us, didn't you? Now that I come to your house, can't I volunteer to wash the dishes in return for the food?" Pakin said, that if other people spoke, it would be like a question that Phra Phai would have to answer. But when Pakhin spoke it, Phai felt that this sentence doesn't require an answer because the questioner already has an answer in his mind.
