Derek stopped the Camaro in front of the Hale house. He got out of the car and rushed to the passenger side. He opened the door and carefully took Sasha in his arms before entering his house by kicking the door open with his foot.

"Kind of a situation you've got here, Derek. I mean I'm out of commission a few weeks and suddenly there's lizard people, geriatric psychopaths and you're cooking up werewolves out of every self-esteem deprived adolescent in town." Peter, who had been resuscitated the night before, said in a smug tone.

The blue-eyed man was about to make another comment, but saw his nephew laying an unconscious young woman on the sofa. Her sweater was covered in blood and her heart rate was so low he didn't even notice it at first.

"Is she one of your beta?" Peter raised an eyebrow and asked him while approaching them.

Derek didn't reply and ripped Sasha's sweater with his claws. His uncle noticed that the Alpha's heart was beating way too fast. He then noticed the four bullets wounds on the young woman's body and widened his eyes.

"What happened to her?" Peter questioned and looked at her face which was contorted by pain. She looked very similar, even too similar to a woman he once knew and he realized that she could only be her daughter, Sasha.

"What do you want?" Derek replied harshly before touching one of Sasha's bullets wound but the pain made her fully conscious again and she tried to move away.

"I want to help. You're my nephew, the only family I have left." He told him and put his hands on the young woman's shoulders. "Take the bullets out. I'll hold her." He ordered him.

Derek didn't questioned him or his intention, because the only thing that mattered right now was Sasha. The Alpha dug his claws into the bullet's wound on her lower abdomen and she immediately scrunched in pain. She gritted her teeth, but couldn't hold back a painful cry as Derek pulled out the bullet. Peter was struggling to hold the young woman still when his nephew took the second bullet out. She was stronger than he thought. He noticed that Derek's eyes were almost wet, as if seeing his beta like that was hurting him more than it should.

When the green eyed-man's claws were inside her shoulder, she couldn't hold it anymore. Sasha grabbed his wrist and violently pushed him away from her before freeing herself from Peter's grip and standing up. She took a few tentatives steps, but fell on her knees, unable to stay stood. The two other werewolves immediately joined her and noticed that she had transformed. Peter widened his eyes when he saw that her eyes were glowing red, but before he could say anything, Derek crouched down in front of the young woman.

"I'm not trying to hurt you. I know you're in pain, but you need to let me help you." He said and tried to get closer to her, but she stepped back. "Sash', look at me. It's me. It's Derek." He added in a reassuring tone and she finally met his eyes.

The female Alpha blinked a few times to get rid of her tears and when her vision wasn't blurry anymore, she recognized those green eyes. She immediately sensed a wave of calmness and turned back. Derek helped her stand and lead her on the couch again.

"Derek, take some of her pain while I removed the two other bullets." Peter told him but the Alpha didn't move. "I'm doing this for Elena." He then told Sasha and she widened her eyes.

"How do you know.." She began to say but suddenly started to coughed and she painfully spat some blood.

"Do it." Peter ordered and Derek obeyed.

He took Sasha's hand in his and, the moment their palms touched, they both felt an electrical shock through their bodies. The young woman turned her head and they looked into each others eyes with confusion. All of a sudden, Sasha tightened her grip when the blue-eyed man dug his claws into her skin, but the pain soon decreased. She saw Derek's veins turned to black and she finally realized that he was taking some of her pain, something no werewolf had ever done for her.
