- How do you feel? Nate ask me while he write the address to the school in the GPS.
- Uh, I'm tired..., I reply, I only got like 5 hours of sleep last night since we were up pretty long, watching the movie and all.
- Yeah, I kinda know that but I meant, how do you feel about starting in a new school?
- Well, it actually feel kinda good, I mean at least here I know that most of the people doesn't hate me because of which football team I cheer on... And it kinda feels good to get a new start, I answer.
- How are you going to do, will you tell people about us being siblings or about you being siblings with Carson, because I don't think people here now about that, he shrug.
- Well, I don't think I'll them about it, not now for the first week because I want people to want to be friends with me because of who I am and not because my brothers are famous, but I guess most of the people here will find out at your game on Friday since I'm going to sit in the family section... And about being siblings with Carson I won't tell for as long as it works, I kinda don't want people to know about my relation with him since I strongly unlike him, especially after what happened on my birthday..., I replied.
- Yeah, I understand you completely and I don't really want people to know about my connection with Carson either so it's good we think the the same about it.
- Yeah, but have you told your teammates? I ask.
- Yeah, I mean, I guess they would have figured it out at our first game against each other but I wanted them to like me and trust me so I told them. Basically my best friends are at the team and I tell them everything so it wasn't exactly an option to not tell the team, he shrug.
- So, good luck today then! I don't think I'll be home when you get home because me and some mates are going to the gym after the training and then lunch but after that I'll be home, at least what it looks like now, but you'll never know with me and my friends, he shrug and I laugh.
- Okay, looks like you're a busy man, he laugh.
- Yeah, but now, you need to drive to school or you'll be late, he tell me.
- Aww, okay, bye Natie.
- Bye, Cara, have a good day
- Aww, you too, and with that we both sit down in our cars and drive away. When I drive into the parking lot I get some looks from the nearest people, but I just flick them off with a smirk and make my way to the main office.
- Hello dear, how can I help you? The woman at the desk ask me.
- Well, I'm new here and I'd like to get my schedule and locker number and sign any papers if I need to, I smile at her.
- Of course, honey, you must be Caroline Young? She ask.
- Yep, that's me, I smile and she flip through some papers in a stack before taking some out.
- Well, you need to sign here, here and here, she points to three papers and I sign them.
- And now, here's your locker number and your schedule, she give me the papers and I look at them. My locker number's 547 and my schedule look pretty nice too, with math, history, geography, lunch, english, P.E and chemistry.
- Thank you so much, I thank her and she smile
- No problem, honey, I walk into the corridor again and look around for someone who can help me find my locker. I see a nice looking girl with straight, blonde hair and green eyes, she look friendly so I approach her.
- Hi, I'm new here, can you please help me find my locker? I ask her.
- Of, course, what's your number? She reply and I answer.
- Well, that's easy to remember, oh and I'm Elize, by the way, she smile.
- I'm Caroline, but please, call me Cara, I smile back.
- Okay then, Cara. Your locker should be on the second floor, she lead me up the stairs, at the end of the hallway.
- What was the number, again? She ask and I give it to her.
- Well, mine's number 523 so your's should be in the same hallway, she leads me through the floor and I look around so I can remember the way to my locker.
- So, somewhere in this hallway should your locker be, probably in the middle, I walk next to the lockers at the right side of the hallway and look at the locker numbers. 544, 545, 546 , 547, here it is. I open it and stuff my bag and jacket in it.
- Thank you so much! I exclaim as I put a combination on the locker, 9312, 93 for Nate's birth year and 12 for the number on his jersey.
- No, problem, I'm glad to help, she answer and I smile.
- Well, still, thank you so much! She laugh.
- So, can I see your schedule, we may have some lessons together..., she ask and I give it to her to look at.
- Well, we got second, third, lunch and sixth period together, she smile.
- Great, oh and do you think you can show me where my first classroom is? I've got math with, um..., I look at my schedule, with mr. Green.
- Sure, you're lucky, it's on this floor, come on, she lead me through the hallway and into another one and then she stop in front of a door.
- Here it is, your next class is in a classroom in the same hallway as your locker. We have it together so how 'bout I meet you at your locker after this period?
- Sure, I'd be really happy if you would do that, I smile.
- Then, we'll see each other later 'cause now I gotta go if I want to get in time to my class.
- Oh, I'm really sorry if you'll get late because of me, I apologize.
- No need to worry, if I go now, I'll be on time, she shrug, we say bye and she walk off. I open the door to the classroom and to my happiness it's only the teacher in there.
- Hi, I'm new here, I tell him politely.
- Hello, yes, I can remember getting a new student here today. What's your name? He ask me.
- Caroline Young, I answer.
- Well, miss Young I'm mr. Green.
- Okay. Oh, and where can I sit? I ask him, because, why not? I wouldn't want to sit in a random seat if it's assigned seats.
- Wherever you want, he answer with a shrug and I nod. I smile and walk to a desk at the back, next to a window, and sit down. Right after I sit down the door open and some students walk in and sit down after giving me a look or two. I look at the time on my phone, it's five minutes until the class should start so I scroll through Instagram until someone clear their throat. I look up and see a really muscular and pretty good looking guy looking down at me.
- What?" I ask him, a little annoyed because he interrupted my last minutes of peace until the first bell ring.
- Uh, you're in my seat, he state as if it's a fact.
- I don't see a name written on it, I tell him with a shrug.
- Oh, well, guess you don't know who I am then, I'm the most popular guy in this school and people do what I say, he explain.
- Well, I don't care about popularity so I won't do what you say, I shrug.
- Not? Well, if I say that my brother's the captain of the Cowboys, will you move then? He smirk. - Nope, I mean, why would I? I ask.
- You don't know who the Cowboys are? He ask, surprised.
- Of course I do, I'm not an idiot, I replied, like it's obvious.
- Well then, doesn't it mean anything to you that I'm the brother of the captain of them? He ask. - No, it doesn't, I'm not intimidated by that, I mean, I have two brothers myself that plays with famous teams', so why would I be intimidated by you just because your brother plays? It's not even you who's famous, I mean I know who your brother is but I've never heard of you..., I explain.
- You got two brothers' playing? Tell me their names then, he smirk, probably thing that I'm lying, which I'm not.
- No, can't do that, for one I don't want people to know who my brothers are yet, you'll find out when the time's right and second the world doesn't know about my brothers' being siblings so you'll just find out when everyone else does, I explain too him.
- Well, then I won't believe you about your brothers' being on famous football teams, he smirk, most likely thinking that he's gonna get the last word in this conversation.
- Don't then, I don't care if you believe me or not, I smirk at his shocked face and whisk him away and to my relief he actually moves away and take another desk just before the bell rings.
- Well, class today we're going to do some algebra, mr. Green explain and almost everyone groan.
The lesson went by pretty fast after that and when it ended I sprinted out the room and went to my locker, which I, to my relief, found at the first attempt. After my first class the day went by pretty fast and I got to know Elize and her group of friends, which to my relief consisted of both boys and girls, I know what you're thinking, "why is it a relief?" Well, simply because I can't stand a group of girls only, since they're often very girly and not my type but guys on the other hand, make almost every hangout better and funnier. They seemed like a nice group of friends and I think I've found my place at this school with them.
