"Soooo, did something happen between you and Zach yesterday? He never came back down so I assumed he stayed with you and you two seemed very comfortable with each other during breakfast, so...?" I'm in the kitchen, making dinner when Nate comes in.
"Can you stir that pot? Thanks! Well, I asked him to stay when he carried me to my room and he complied and then yeah, you probably don't want to hear the rest...," I tell him while chopping up some tomatoes. We chat about everything and nothing until dinner is finished and eaten, me making him set the table and fix the dishes, of course.
Later that evening I'm sitting in my room, texting Elize the details from yesterday since she wasn't in school due to having a bad cold, when my phone rings. I look at the caller id "Hottie #1 ❤", ugh, he must have changed it when I went to the bathroom yesterday or something. Reluctantly, I answer it:
"Tell me, how did you get into my phone to change your id?"
"Why, hello to you too, I'm good, thanks for asking"
"I didn't"
"You're breaking my heart here princess, anyways, I dunno, how do you usually do? Put in the passcode and go into contacts and then change name, how can you not know this?"
"I'm rolling my eyes now, just so you know, because let me rephrase, how did you get the correct code?"
"Oh, I didn't, I just asked Nate and he told me"
"Huh! How dare he!"
"No idea, I mean, who would dare to do that to you?" I can hear he smile in his voice.
"Stop mocking me! Anyways, did you want something or why did you call?"
"Right! Do you wanna come over? Sam's out so you don't have to worry about him being an ass"
"How'd you know that he's an ass to me?"
"Cause he's been ranting about everything he's annoyed at with you, and what he's said that he's done sounds kinda terrible, so I just assumed and I guess I was right! Anyways, what do you say?"
"Let me think, n-," He interrupts me.
"So yes then, great! Do you want me to pick you up or can you find your own way?"
"Ugh, you're so annoying! And I can find my own way, just give me address," He gives me his address and then we hang up.
I sigh and get up from my bed, going to the bathroom to brush my teeth and then putting my hair up in a messy bun. I go downstairs to see if Nate is somewhere to be found, which he is not, but I find a note on the kitchen island, saying that he's at Cam's place. I write my own note, saying that I'm at Zach's, and put it in the same place.
Fishing up my keys from the pocket of my jacket, I open the door to the garage and get into my car and starts it. When I get outside I exit the car to go lock the front door and then jumps into the car again. I connect my phone and "Dirty Laundry" by All Time Low blasts from the speakers causing me to start singing alone, because honestly, who wouldn't?
I then put in the address in the GPS and back out of the driveway. I'm on the fifth song, "One of Us" by New Politics, when the GPS tells me that I have reached my destination. I look up and before me is a house that looks like a normal house, only a little larger than the average. It's made of bricks in different shades of gray and has parts that stand out from the "main house" and it also has, as far as I can see, two dormer windows, making the roof be in different heights, all creating a very artsy feeling.
