Aella

I'm waiting at the bus stop in a small town in Texas, the population a total of 2,746 people live here. I left the same night the new me was created. It was an emotional goodbye Melanie crying all over my shirt, me crying all over hers. Luca was stoic but he still hugged me goodbye and wished me luck. I hope he doesn't get in trouble if Enzo ever finds out he helped me run from him. Going to the airport then arriving here in Texas, catching a taxi and getting dropped off at the edge of this small town. I'm officially Ella Rain Bronson, similar to my real name but still different. Luca said I have an associates degree from the AVMA program I supposedly graduated from, he put that in so that I could find a job and still do what I love to do. I look at my new passport and see he's changed my original birthdate from November 5, 2002 to February 10, 2000. That makes me 23 years old.
I have the new bank card he gave me, says to only use it for emergencies. He explained it would be better for me not to leave a digital footprint, whatever that means. That's why he gave me $10,000 in cash, I buried it underneath the clothes in my suitcase. Don't ask how I got past TSA cause I don't know. The burner phone he gave me is no iPhone but as long as I can make calls that's fine. I really appreciate what Luca's done for me, if my little beanie's born and if it's a he he's going to have Luca as his middle name. I can imagine the smug look on Luca's face if he ever finds out. The bus arrives and picks me up to take me to my next destination.

After some time I just sit in my spot until it stops, "You're going to have to get off ma'am, this here is the last stop." The driver says, I look around and see I'm the only one left on the bus. It dropped me off in front of a small diner called Sherry's. I lug my suitcase behind me and make my way inside, the glass door ringing when I push it open. I sit in a chair towards the front and a middle aged lady comes to me.
"Can I get you anything miss?" Her southern twang strong. My stomach grumbles, the last time I ate was 8 hours ago before I left for the airport. I rub my stomach, are you hungry little beanie? Don't worry mommy will feed you. I examine the menu knowing exactly what I'm getting.
"Hi, can I please get a strawberry milkshake, the chicken and waffles, oh and the biscuits and gravy with the bowl of fruit please." I am starving and little beanie is too.
"My,my isn't someone hungry, coming right up dear." She laughs as she walks to the kitchen getting my order ready. I look around and see only 2 people in here, older folks. This must be a really small town.

A few minutes later the kind lady named Tilly sets my food in front of me. Hmmm, it smells so good.
"Enjoy your meal dear." She smiles wide and leaves to help the newcomer that just came in.
I'm about finished with my food when an older lady around 50 sits next to me, she's got some white mixed in with her blonde hair but it's her blue eyes that makes me feel like I'm at home, they're full of warmhearted goodness.
"Hello there, I don't think I've ever seen you before."
I clear my throat and wipe my hands on my napkin. "My name's A-Ella, I'm new to town." I hope she didn't catch that slip, I almost gave her my real name. I need to put it in my head that I'm Ella Rain Bronson now, I'm not Aella Rose Brennan anymore.
"I'm Cheryl, are you visiting or you plan on staying?" She asked.
"I plan on staying." I told her, I don't know where but hopefully they have a motel around here.
She arches her brow "You gotta a place to stay at?"
I shake my head no. She tusks at me.
"Tsk,tsk, sweetheart, you'll stay with me." I don't know if it's cause of her kind hearted eyes or my intuition telling me to go with this lady but I tell her yes.
"I own a farm just about 5 miles from here. It's not too big only about 6 acres of land. I do need help tending my animals since my grandson went and opened up his own clinic up. At least now whenever one of the animals gets sick he doesn't get to charge me because I'm his grandmother."
She tells me about the farm she owns and how her husband died from a heart attack a few years ago. She then goes on about her only daughter dying while giving birth to Caine, and that she's been raising him ever since. She basically tells me her life story and it makes me sad that she's experienced so much loss. When she asks me about my life I'm pretty vague just telling her I'm running away from an abusive boyfriend, her eyes fill with pity and I start feeling guilty for lying.
"Tilly, charge Ella's meal to my tab."
"You got it Cheryl." Tilly answered back.
"Come on sweetheart, it's time to see where you'll be staying." We exit the diner and make our way to an old beat up Ford truck.
"I know it ain't much but she's still running." She pats the trucks body. I toss my suitcase in the back and get in. I guess this is my life now.

Lorenzo

It's been 5 days since Aella left me, I've tried calling her but she's blocked my number. My life's been empty the last couple of days, I trashed my bedroom so I've been sleeping in the guest bedroom. The memories of her in my room and the scent of her on my bed too much for my wellbeing right now. I forbade Camille and Sofia from entering my home, thus the entire place is a wreck. The inside showing signs of my fit of rage, couch flipped over, big crack in the tv, glass broken here and there. It's going to cost a lot to replace what I broke. I text Camille telling her when I'm gone she's free to clean up the mess along with Sofia having free reign to replace anything I broke using my card. I go to the bathroom and look in the mirror and see my beard has grown out and now looks unkempt, my hair is greasy and all over the place. I need to shower if I plan on seeing Aella today.

After my shower I shave off the beard I've grown and style my hair so it looks better. I put on some casual clothes and head out to my car. Dominic my lawyer told me he's received the divorce papers that Elisa's signed and that he's going to have them finalized within a week. If you're wondering, NO the bitch isn't getting a penny from me. I fooled her into signing a prenup alongside the marriage contract I sent, made her think it was a Non Disclosure Agreement that she was signing. That's probably why she signed the divorce agreement so fast, thought she was going to get a big amount out of me, Fuck no. I'm always prepared for fucking gold diggers and their scheming minds. Even though I've never met the bitch, Dominic tells me she's a spoiled brat living off of daddy's money, apparently she doesn't even have a job. Her mom and mine were childhood friends, Mamma thought it would be a good match between us therefore she asked me to marry her before she died. Me being the good son I am wanted to honor her last request before she passed. I signed the marriage contract that was brought up, afterwards Dominic flew to Italy and had Elisa sign it. Once he arrived I showed the contract to Mamma, despite being weak and in pain she gave me one of her rare smiles that I hadn't seen in the months since she's been sick. The next day she died peacefully in her bed. Now I'm thinking I should've thought things through.

I arrive in front of Aella's place and park my car real fast not caring that I'm taking up two spots. I take the steps 3 at a time until her door's in view, I knock and it opens up with a disgruntled looking Melanie.
"Why are you here?" Melanie asks with disdain.
"Where's Aella?"
"She's not here." What?, if she's not here then where is she. She gets ready to close the door but I block it with my foot.
"Where is she?" Worry laced in my question, where the fuck could she be.
Melanie rolls her eyes, "I don't know where she is, I haven't seen her for a few days."
"Fuck!" I slam my hand on the rail. Relishing in the pain.
"Whoa, calm the fuck down!"
"Where's her Mother, does she know where she is?" I asked hoping Aella's mom has a clue on her whereabouts.
"No, her Mom's at a medical convention in Phoenix, left about a week ago and won't be back till tomorrow." She finished in a bored tone.
I leave not getting any answers from her. In the car I call Luca. He picks up on the first ring.
"Luca, have you seen Aella?" I asked.
"No, last I've seen her was in your office."
"Cazzo!" I bang my hands on the steering wheel. Is she safe? Is she ok? Did she eat? I've got so many concerns not knowing where she's at.
"Enzo, calm down." He tries to soothe me, nothing will soothe me unless I have her by my side.
"Luca I want you to work with Adam and track her phone, her credit cards find anything on where she could be." I hang up before he says anything. Adam is a good friend of mine, he used to be a SEAL but retired a few years ago. He now owns his own Private Security company, sometimes working as bodyguards for politicians or celebrities and even locating kidnap victims, he's really good at what he does. Last week he told me Senator Miles reached out to him because his daughter was kidnapped and held for ransom, in less than 6 hours Adam and his team managed to track her to her kidnappers location and were able to retrieve her unharmed. If anyone can find Aella I trust that those two together can do it with their skills. I attempt to call Aella again, "The number you have dialed is not in service." I stare at my phone my brows furrowed, What the fuck?
