Sleep Talking (Yachiyo x Mei Fan)

Synopsis: The first time Yachiyo slept in the same bed as Mei Fan, she learned a little secret. Mei Fan talks in her sleep. However, it's only ever in Chinese and she really wants to know what's being said

"Mei Fan~ Come on, let your girlfriend sleep with you tonight~"

Yachiyo had been very persistent in that want. Ever since she had asked Mei Fan out and gotten a positive response, she had kept asking to share the bed for one night. Mei Fan kept turning her down for a multitude of reasons. But, Yachiyo did not give up. She was determined to get Mei Fan to cave.

And finally, her hard work paid off. After days of pestering, Mei Fan finally said yes. Yachiyo could not be more excited. She could hardly wait for night to fall.

"Mmm... I think I'm ready for bed." Mei Fan yawned as she stretched on the couch.

"It is getting late." Yachiyo replied, "Shall we head up?"

Mei Fan nodded, "Yeah..."

She stood up, Yachiyo following her. As they walked, Mei Fan glanced back at Yachiyo. Said girl was following behind her like an eager puppy. Had she really been that excited to do this? Mei Fan was starting to feel kind of bad for pushing her away now.

"Why exactly do you want to stay with me?" Mei Fan asked as they reached her room.

"Do I really need a reason to stay with my girlfriend?" Yachiyo purred out the word 'girlfriend', making Mei Fan slightly blush. It was still weird hearing her refer to her by such.

"Well... I guess not..." Mei Fan mumbled in reply, opening the door.

The two of them entered the room. Yachiyo happily plopped down onto the bed. Mei Fan joined her and turned off the light. Yachiyo smiled at her.

"Love you, Mei Fan."

"Love you too, Yachiyo. Goodnight." Mei Fan pulled the covers over the two of them and closed her eyes.

Yachiyo moved closer and kissed her on the forehead. Mei Fan opened her eyes and looked at her. Yachiyo gave her a small pout. Mei Fan smiled as she returned the kiss onto Yachiyo's cheek.

Yachiyo seemed satisfied with that and closed her eyes. Mei Fan stared at her for a while, before she closed her eyes again. It did not take long for her to fall asleep. She was pretty tired.

However, Yachiyo was a different story. She was still awake. She just laid there with her eyes closed and listened to the sound of Mei Fan breathing. It was peaceful and she definitely was not about to complain about her situation. Getting to finally stay with Mei Fan was awesome.

However, she hadn't expected one thing. Mei Fan... talked in her sleep. As she heard said girl mutter something under her breath, she opened her eyes. She had thought perhaps Mei Fan had woken up and asked her something, but found that wasn't the case. She was still asleep.

After a few minutes, Yachiyo settled back down. And then she spoke again. And Yachiyo realized she was speaking in Chinese. Great. Now she had no hope of understanding her. That made her a little upset. Now she couldn't tease Mei Fan over it as much.

Yachiyo cupped a hand over one of Mei Fan's cheeks. Mei Fan mumbled something and moved closer. Yachiyo let out a squeak of surprise as Mei Fan hugged her tightly, once again saying something in Chinese that Yachiyo could not understand.

Yachiyo smiled as she collected herself. Mei Fan was cute like this. Clinging to her so desperately. It was definitely a rare sight. If only she could understand what she was saying. Yachiyo wondered if it was about her. If it was, she definitely was not about to try and ask Mei Fan to translate her horribly butchered Chinese as she tried to copy what was being said.
