A background of nightmares

Sleep deprivation

{Three months later}

Stephen

"Aaron, Spencer. Thank you for being there when you were. You should get home to Jack though."

"It's not a problem Stephen. We probably should get back to Jack, and there is going to some guy in a long trench coat that drops of James's medication." Spencer says.

"I'll keep an eye out for him."

"Get some sleep Stephen. He won't be here for another few hours." Aaron says and I chuckle.

"I will." I open a portal for them to their house and Jack looks through it at me and waves. I wave back before hearing James coughing in his room.

They walk through and it closes behind them. I grab a bottle of water from the fridge and his medicine from the cabinet before bringing it to him.

"Hey James. How are you feeling today?"

"I'm okay. It Dad okay? You seem tired." James says and I smile.

"I'm fine and so is your Dad. Why don't you take your medicine?" He grabs them and I sit with him as he takes his meds before we get up to check on Y/N.

James grabs my wrist and I smile as we walk into the living room. When we get there neither of us see Y/N and my mind goes into overdrive as I try to think of where he could have gone.

"Dad!" James says suddenly and lets go of my wrist before running behind me and towards the kitchen.

I turn and see Y/N standing there with James in his arms. He looks exhausted but I'm not all that surprised.

"Hey James. I see you've met your Uncle Stephen." Y/N says and James nods. For the next 20 or so minutes, James proceeds to talk to Y/N about what we've done while he was out.

A knock at the door catches our attention and Y/N walks to the door and opens it. I follow close behind and see a boy standing at the door.

"Where's your Dad at?" Y/N asks the boy.

"He's dealing with something at the moment and asked me to bring James over his medication." The boy says and I see Y/N take a bag from him.

"Thank you. Tell you Dad to call if he ever needs my help with something." Y/N says and the boy nods before waving and walking away.

Y/N shuts the door and then takes the medication to what I can only assume is his room.

"Y/N are you okay?"

"Ya I'm fine. You should get back to Tony and Peter." He calls out and I sigh.

"You should get back to Eddie and Jasmine."

The two of them walk back over to me and I grab the bag that Y/N's holding. I open a portal to Jasmines house and I walk through with them after I hear the click of a lock on the front door.

It closes and I open the front door for them. Eddie comes running towards us and pick him up as Y/N shuts the door.

"Dad, Uncle Stephen!" Eddie says excitedly and James looks confused before he starts coughing again.

"Stephen go home. I've got it from here." Y/N says and I set Eddie down before kissing the top of his head.

I turn to James and place a kiss on his left cheek, before hugging Y/N and opening a portal to the commons in the tower.

When I get there I tip over part of the microwave, only to cut my elbow on pieces of glass from the microwave.

"For the love of Umar!"
