I sauntered down the dark tunnels after my prey. I could taste the fear that emanited from the poor creature that I had lured here. The scent of fear wafted through the air, mingling with the anticipation that surged within me. The man I sought had played a role in Sebastian's downfall, and I vowed to make him pay.As I rounded a corner, I caught a glimpse of my prey, his trembling form silhouetted against the flickering torchlight. His eyes widened with terror as he realized he had fallen into my trap. A malicious grin crept across my face, fueled by a mix of anger and vengeance.
"You thought you could escape justice," I hissed, my voice dripping with venom. "But you were nothing more than a fly caught in my web." I malicious laugh escaped my lips, echoing through out the halls.
The man stammered, trying to utter a feeble defense, but his words only fueled the fire burning within me. With each step I took closer, the room seemed to darken, the shadows closing in around us.
"You played a part in Sebastian's demise," I continued, my voice low and dangerous. "And for that, you will pay dearly."
I could see the fear consuming him, his trembling turning into desperate pleas for mercy. But I had none to offer. My heart was hardened, fueled by the pain of losing the one I loved, by what he had down to me. I didn't care what happened to him, I was insatiable for blood and only once everyone who had betrayed Sebastian was dead would I be satisfied.
"Please it wasn't me," the man fell to his knees. "I swear I didn't turn him in." A sob escaped the poor souls lips, his body tremouring with each recoil. I stood before the trembling man, his pleas for mercy echoing through the dark tunnel. His voice quivered with desperation, his eyes filled with genuine fear. I took a step closer, relishing in his vulnerability.
A wicked smile curled upon my lips, savoring the moment of power. I could see the terror consuming him, his body shaking uncontrollably. The realization of his own helplessness fueled my desire to taunt him further.
"Oh, how pitiful," I mocked, my voice dripping with disdain. "You expect me to believe your feeble lies? Do you think I'm a fool?"
The man's sobs intensified, his body recoiling with each cry. The darkness seemed to amplify his despair, casting sinister shadows upon his hunched figure.
"My sources have claimed you as the source, they have pointed their fingers to you," I sneered, relishing in the torment I was inflicting. "You sold him out to those who sought to destroy him. And for what? Jelousy? Power? Me?" I mocked. Watching as Leander Prewett cowered in fear. The power I held over him was inotxicating, I would finally have my revenge for both Sebastian and for myself.
I took another step closer, the intensity of my words hanging heavy in the air. His eyes met mine, a mix of fear and guilt reflecting back at me.
"You may try to deny it, but I know the truth," I declared, my voice filled with icy conviction. "You are responsible for his demise, whether directly or indirectly. Don't sit there and lie to me, I saw all of your pathetic attempts to try to win my heart, you were jealous of Sebastian. You wanted what was his. That's why you poisioned me."
His trembling intensified, his body crumbling further into a pit of despair. It was a sight that both satisfied and disgusted me, the duality of emotions intertwining within me.
With a flick of my wand, I cast a binding spell, securing him in place. He writhed against the invisible restraints, futilely attempting to escape the inevitable.
"I saw you speaking to Headmaster Black the morning before Sebastian was taken in." I continued, my voice laced with venom.
"It was a coincidence," he choked, his voice raspy.
"Really? a coincidence?" I mocked with feigned sarcasm, "do you think I'm fucking stupid? Is that why you were so quick to meet me here, down in the mines? What did you expect? For me to fuck you?" I cruel laugh spilled from my lips.
"You will rot in this darkness, just as Sebastian did," I whispered, my voice laced with a vindictive satisfaction. "May your guilt consume you, for it is a fitting punishment for your treachery."
"Please Ophelia, please see reason," He begged.
"Crucio," I screamed, reviling in the screams that plagued Leanders. I watched with glee as the disgusting man writhed upon the floor. Without hesitation, I raised my wand, the tip glowing with a malevolent energy. Spells and curses danced upon my tongue, in a endless torment on the man who had taken every thing away from me.
After hours of torturing that pathetic soul, I decided to ease his suffering. The angel of death coming to claim it's victim.
I could feel the ancient magic burning within me. Begging to be released. I took a deep breath, reviling in the magic that coursed through my blood like a fiery passion waiting to be ignited. I lifted Leanders battered body limply into the air and slowly pulled apart his body limp by limb, until he was nothing but a bloody bag of bones. Blood splattered against the walls. I could feel it dripping into my hair, soaking into my skin. The air was tainted by his corpse.
I left the mine without so much as a second thought. Leander Prewett was the first but not the last who would fall victim to my man hunt in search of the one who had betrayed my love. But I was blinded by revenge and I would stop at nothing until I had it. I was after the angel of death.
