I awoke the next morning to a knock at my door. I got up as fast as I could without getting dizzy. I walked to my door opened it. Only to find no one there. I walked down the hall to look up the stairs.. no one was there. I hurried back to my room.

I dressed quickly as I could and walked out to the kitchen. The sun was not yet up. I looked at the clock. Half past Three it was really earily. I went into the parlor and started a fire. Burning my fingers again. I was the only one up. I walked back to my room to get my knitting needles, and yarn.

As I walked back to the parlor I could not help but feel it odd that I was so certain someone had knocked on my door, and not a soul was awake in the house. I walked down the hallway alittle slower. Not feeling alone, I turned the corned into the parlor to find the tub out of the closet and full of water. Scared out of my wits. I looked around to see no one there and nothing astray, but someone had been here. Without me knowing, or hearing them.. How could this even be possible?

I shut all the shades and the parlor doors. Went to the cupboard to get a rag and soap. Stripped down and got into the bath. It was the perfect tempature. I sank down into the tub and let the steaming water engolph me.

I lathered up the soap in my hand and washed my hair first. After rinsing out the soap, I lathered up the rag and started washing my legs. Slowly working my way up them. I raised the rag even higher until I feel it brush against my center. I let out a moan, and stop quickly.. I dont feel alone anymore, I quickly finish washing then stand up to fast. Almost toppling out of the tub, but I caught myself and straightened.

I dressed and turned to look at the tub. How am I supoose to get it out? I went to the kitchen to put the soap and rag away. My back turned to the parlors' open doors. Then I think maybe I could make a stew for everyone. Make them feel alittle better after everything thats happened. I turned around and dropped everthing.

The tub was gone, and there in it's place was a bucket of water for the stew. How could someone just move a tub full of water, and walk away with it. To top that off they put a bucket I would have had to get myself and then fill. Right exactlly where the tub had been was where the bucket lay. Someone was going through a lot of trouble to help me out, and scare me right out of my wits.

How could they have known thats what I was thinking? I got down to pick up the vegetable from where I had dropped and then went and got a knife from the board. I walked into the parlor slowly. Walked over to my chair put down the vegetables on the seat and the knife on the end of the mantel. Went over an got the bucket of water, put it in the kettle above the fire. I turned and started diceing the vegetables. When I was done wth that I sat in my chair and rocked back an forth.
