The small family finished their food and soon Sebastian was standing to gather plates to clean up. "Teeth, your show, and bed, Luca," Seb told him.
"Okay!" Luca agreed, running off to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
Ava got up from the table and began helping Sebastian with the dishes. "This was a lovely surprise, thank you again," she told him sweetly.
"You're welcome." Seb leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Anything for my drag mea."
"Let me help with dishes while I still can and my ankles aren't swollen," she said as she picked up their glasses to take them to the sink. "I have a feeling the two of you aren't going to be letting me do much around here soon."
"I'll let you do as much as you think you can do," he assured her as he put dishes into the dishwasher. "I know not to hold you back from what you want."
She chuckled softly in reply. "You've learned that already, huh?" she asked with a raised brow.
"Teeth brushed!" Luca declared as he left the bathroom. "I'm gonna watch my show."
"Let us know when it's over and we'll say goodnight," Ava asked of him before he disappeared into his bedroom again. "It'll be an early night for me too," she remarked as she began to put the cups in the dishwasher beside Seb.
"I might read a little bit," Seb shrugged. "I'm not sure yet though."
"You can do whatever you'd like, mi amor," she replied. "Don't let my exhaustion hold you back."
He smirked at her as he shut the dishwasher and leaned against the counter. "Anything huh?"
She caught the smirk and replied with her own. "Sure... what were you thinking?" she asked.
"Eh, I don't know... there is a lot to choose from," he teased.
She rolled her eyes but kept the smile on her face. "Well if you think of something, you let me know, Papi."
Sebastian chuckled as he walked past her, running one hand over her ass as she bent down. "I'll go check on Luca."
She laughed again as she felt his hand and flipped her hair over her shoulder as she watched him go. She finished putting the dishes into the dishwasher and ran it before she began to put the leftover food into containers to keep for later.
Peeking his head into his door, Seb smiled as Luca laid on his bed, under his blanket. "How is your show?"
Luca turned his head to look at Sebastian. "It's good. It's almost over," he shared. "I'm sleepy anyway. We ran in gym class today. My legs feel sore."
Sebastian nodded. "That can happen. If they still hurt in the morning, you can have an aspirin, okay?"
"Okay," Luca agreed, his eyes lingering back to his show. "It's about to be over, if you want to tell Mami."
"Okay buddy." He came in and leaned down to kiss his forehead. "Sleep well."
"I love you, Dad," he replied, smiling in his sweet, innocent way.
Sebastian sighed softly. "Night, son." He gave him an extra kiss before turning and leaving his room only to stop and lean against the wall.
Ava turned to see Sebastian standing in the hall and she quirked her head to the right. "Everything okay?" she asked.
"Yeah," he smiled. Seb met her eyes. "More than okay."
She held his eyes and her smile warmed, seeing all of the love reflected in his eyes. Slowly, she approached him and reached out her hand. "Come on, Papi. Let's get ready for bed."
