Y/n stood in front of the restroom mirror, washing away the remnants of lip gloss from her lips. She took a deep breath and gently slapped her cheek, trying to gather herself before facing the harsh reality awaiting her in the classroom. As she entered the room, her eyes widened in disbelief.
The entire board was covered with derogatory words aimed at her, and laughter echoed throughout the classroom. The teacher, visibly disappointed and frustrated, entered the room.
"How can you do this? How can I teach with this writing on the board? Go and take a seat. Go!" the teacher scolded, her voice tinged with exasperation.
Feeling the weight of humiliation and betrayal, Y/n slammed her bag down on the table and mustered the courage to ask the teacher if she could go to the restroom, feigning illness. But instead of seeking solace in the bathroom, she made her way to the rooftop, seeking a moment of respite from the torment.
As she reached the rooftop, frustration bubbled up within her, and she couldn't help but let out a yell, defying the false accusations hurled her way.
"Jackasses! Fake news!" Y/n exclaimed, her voice filled with defiance. "So what if I've been with 10 guys and got pregnant? It's my business. It's the modern age."
She carefully stepped away from the edge of the rooftop, turning to the side, searching for a familiar face. But to her surprise, it was Heeseung who spoke up from behind, catching her off guard.
"What kind of person shouts this stuff from the rooftop?" Heeseung questioned, his voice filled with curiosity and concern.
Y/n turned around to face him, her guard slightly lowered in his presence.
"You're strange. Well, even someone like Jungwon got kicked by you," Heeseung remarked, an air of amusement in his tone.
"I was caught in the moment," Y/n replied, her voice softened by the sincerity of her words.
As Y/n observed Heeseung, she noticed him engrossed in drawing, his focus undisturbed. She took a moment to express her gratitude.
"Heeseung, I haven't thanked you for the other day in the basement. Thank you," Y/n said earnestly.
Heeseung continued drawing, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. They stood in comfortable silence, their presence a solace amidst the chaos surrounding them. Eventually, Heeseung broke the silence, wanting to pose a question.
"Let me ask you something," he began, his voice slightly hesitant.
Y/n hummed in response, encouraging him to continue.
"If you flew from France at 5 a.m., what time would you arrive in South Korea?" Heeseung asked, his eyes flickering with curiosity.
Y/n chuckled softly. "You have to work out the time difference. I don't have my phone with me."
Heeseung nodded, his focus returning to his drawing. Y/n couldn't help but wonder about his intentions.
"Why did you ask?" she inquired, curiosity piqued.
"I just wanted to know," he replied cryptically, his gaze meeting hers briefly before returning to his artwork.
Unbeknownst to Y/n, their interaction had caught the attention of the three mean girls, their gaze fixed on Heeseung and Y/n.
"How did Y/n end up hanging out with Heeseung? They look pretty close," one of the girls whispered, her voice filled with intrigue and a hint of jealousy.
Y/n stood amidst the vibrant colors of the flower shop, engrossed in working out Heeseung's question about the time difference between France and South Korea. As she calculated the hours and pondered over the answer, Aera approached her, wrapping her arms around Y/n from behind.
"What are you doing?" Aera asked, curiosity lacing her voice.
"Just working out the time. Heeseung asked me a question," Y/n replied, her focus momentarily diverted.
Aera's eyes sparkled with interest. "That guy who helped you the other day? So, is he not part of the F4?"
Y/n nodded, her thoughts drifting to Heeseung. "He is, but... I don't think he's like the others. I don't know... the way he thinks is different."
Aera's playful expression softened, and she gently squeezed Y/n's shoulder. "Be careful, but I trust your senses. Maybe... he may end up being the prince who gives a kiss to a common girl."
Y/n scoffed, shaking her head. "What kiss? I'm not like you and that Taehyun guy. I heard you've kissed."
Aera feigned innocence, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "What are you talking about?"
Their banter was interrupted by the arrival of Uncle Ga, who overheard their conversation and felt compelled to interject.
"What are you guys talking about? A kiss?" Uncle Ga's voice carried a mixture of concern and authority. "You can't joke about this stuff. I believe that the first kiss is very crucial for you girls."
Aera raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "You mind about kisses, Uncle Ga?"
Uncle Ga nodded, his expression serious. "Of course. It may sound old-fashioned, but the first kiss is so important because there can only be one, and the first time you kiss will change your whole world. It will be so satisfying. It will..."
Y/n couldn't help but interrupt a playful grin on her face. "Have you had your first kiss?"
Uncle Ga's cheeks reddened slightly as he chuckled sheepishly. "Not yet."
Y/n and Aera burst into laughter, the lightness of their shared moment filling the air. But Uncle Ga quickly redirected the conversation to a different topic.
"Wait, how did we get into this topic? How about that red card thing of yours? Has it been sorted?" Uncle Ga asked, his tone shifting to a more serious note.
Y/n sighed, a hint of frustration evident in her voice. "It's not, but..."
Aera's attention was suddenly diverted, and she turned her head to see Narae entering the flower shop. Y/n followed her gaze and locked eyes with Narae, a flicker of recognition passing between them.
"Yeah, that's my friend," Y/n replied, her voice tinged with curiosity as she and Narae exchanged glances, hinting at the unexpected connections that lay ahead.
