Narae, as she sat at the bar, poured a drug into her drink, hiding her intentions. With the spiked drink in hand, she made her way over to where Jungwon was standing with the other two girls, all under Niki's watchful eyes.
Narae tapped the shoulder of one of the girls who was accompanying the inebriated Jungwon. The girl, annoyed, asked, "What?"
Narae, her tone serious, urged, "Step away. I know him."
The second girl, skeptical of Narae's intentions, challenged her, "So? You think you can just get rid of us?"
Narae, unwilling to entertain their objections, slapped the glass from the second girl's hand, causing it to shatter on the ground.
Narae warned sternly, "Don't make me repeat it. Get out!"
The two girls, now intimidated, walked away. Narae seized the opportunity to get closer to Jungwon.
She whispered soothingly, "Jungwon, don't worry about this nonsense. Relax."
Narae gently made him look at her, her gaze filled with concern.
Narae continued, "If no one here understands you, you can talk to me."
Jungwon, looking weary and vulnerable, seemed to find solace in Narae's presence. Unbeknownst to him, Narae made him drink the drugged concoction.
At the same time, Niki's concern grew as Jungwon and Narae vanished from his sight.
At Aera's house, Y/n and Aera found a moment to unwind and share a meal. While Y/n sat at the table, Aera handled a phone call with Y/n's mom.
Aera's voice was reassuring as she spoke on the phone, "Yes, I'm asking Y/n to tutor me. You don't need to worry; I'll take care of her. Goodbye."
Y/n's mom felt at ease, knowing Y/n was in good company.
As Y/n sat down, Aera's dad arrived with a glass of water. He was in high spirits as he complimented his daughter, saying, "Smells good. My sweet daughter is a cook today."
Aera blushed and teased her dad, "Well, I'm a good host to my friend. Stop teasing me, Dad."
Aera's dad, ready to retire for the night, added, "Okay, I'm going to bed now. Y/n, if there's anything Aera or I can do for you, let us know."
Y/n smiled and expressed her gratitude, "Thank you."
As Aera's dad left, Y/n couldn't help but thank Aera, too. Aera reassured her, "No problem. Let me help you for a change. If I let you be on your own, you'd get stuck in your head."
Y/n hesitated but eventually accepted, "What? No."
Aera insisted with a grin, "Okay, okay, let's eat. Chopsticks."
Y/n thanked her friend, and they began enjoying the meal. However, while eating, Y/n checked her Instagram and noticed Narae's story, in which she was with Jungwon.
Narae's Instagram story read, "I can't get him to wake up. What should I do?"
Aera tried to engage Y/n in conversation, "Hey, earlier tonight, I was so annoyed by Jay. He's fronting all cool, right?"
Y/n, though seemingly distracted, replied, "Hmm?"
Aera, noticing Y/n's preoccupation, asked, "There it is. I just said it. What are you looking at?"
Y/n explained, "Nothing. I just saw Jungwon."
Aera nodded and then delved into a topic she was curious about, "So, what's the story between you and him? Everywhere you go, there he is."
Y/n confessed, "I'm mad that he didn't listen to me, but you know, the moment I looked into his eyes, it hurt."
Aera offered words of comfort, "Don't give it any more thought. It's been a long day for you. Let's eat. I have more if you want."
Y/n and Aera continued their meal, finding solace and support in each other's company.
As Y/n lay in her bed at Aera's house, unable to fall asleep, she was consumed by thoughts of the events from the previous night. The memories of Jungwon and Narae haunted her, and she was left with a sense of unease.
Meanwhile, Narae had taken Jungwon to a hotel room, laying him down on the bed. She sat on the edge, grabbed his phone, and unlocked it using his fingerprint to sift through his messages and notifications.
In the dimly lit hotel room, Narae moved closer to Jungwon, seemingly ready to make a move. But just as she leaned in, Jungwon muttered Y/n's name in his sleep. This unexpected utterance irritated Narae, and her expression soured.
The next day at school, Y/n was in a hurry, engaged in a phone call as she rushed down the hallway.
Y/n expressed her gratitude to the person on the other end, "Thank you. Without you, I wouldn't make it."
As she entered her classroom, a shocking sight met her eyes. The mean girl who had previously confronted her was in the process of destroying her chair.
Y/n's voice was filled with disbelief, "What the hell are you doing?"
The girl, known as Yuna, retorted without remorse, "Why can't I? What you did to Jungwon was more severe."
Her friend intervened, saying, "Yuna, stop. Jungwon canceled the red card."
Yuna, undeterred, continued her tirade, "So? Are you going to just stand here? Y/n is shameless. She's a disgrace. She's ruining F4. Are you just going to let her walk away?"
An uncomfortable silence fell upon the classroom as Yuna turned her attention to her classmates. When they didn't respond, she threatened, "Fine. If you don't dare, I'll ask Jungwon."
Yuna proceeded to text Jungwon for permission to carry out her plan. Little did she know that Narae, who was still in possession of Jungwon's phone, typed the response.
Yuna, seemingly with Jungwon's blessing, announced, "Jungwon gave us the green light."
With that, the mean girls began to target and bully Y/n, intensifying the turmoil in her life.
