Y/n cautiously checked both sides of the road to ensure there were no oncoming cars before crossing to where Heeseung was standing. She couldn't help but ask, "You're here again?"
They both turned their attention to the billboard displaying Kyung-Mi's image. Y/n's curiosity got the best of her.
Y/n: "Heeseung, let me ask you honestly. How was your trip to France?"
Heeseung: "France was like in the postcard. What you imagined in your head, that's exactly what it's like."
Y/n attempted to clarify her intentions.
Y/n: "No, I meant, what happened with Kyung-Mi. I just wanted to know."
A brief silence fell upon them as they continued to gaze at the now turned-off billboard. Heeseung broke the silence by grabbing Y/n's head gently and turning her gaze towards him.
Heeseung: "Are you worried about me? No need. Kyung-Mi was so happy when she saw me. Thank you for telling me not to avert my eyes from the problem. When I took a close look, it turned out to be very good."
Y/n: "Really?"
Heeseung: "Really. Let's talk about you now. How has it been?"
Y/n: "Same old. Nothing to tell. My life is boring."
Heeseung: "That's not true at all. Your life is colorful."
Heeseung proceeded to kneel down, his fingers deftly tying Y/n's shoelaces while she watched him in surprise.
Heeseung: "But I believe you about it being the same."
He looked up at her with a warm gaze. Just as they were about to delve into a deeper conversation, the honk of a bus disrupted their moment.
Y/n: "My bus is here. I have to go."
Y/n rushed towards the waiting bus, leaving Heeseung behind. However, he noticed that she had dropped her phone on the grass. He quickly picked it up, pondering the unspoken words that had passed between them.
Y/n returned home, collapsing onto her bed with exhaustion. She mumbled to herself, "What's going on with him?"
Just as she was about to dive into her thoughts, she was startled by the voice of her brother, Minjun, who had entered her room holding a phone with a FaceTime call from Jungwon.
Jungwon: "Who are you stressing about?"
Y/n: "You have to ask? It's H..."
Y/n sat up and saw her brother holding the phone with Jungwon on the call.
Jungwon: "Who are you talking about? Why didn't you pick up when I called? Where's your cellphone?"
Y/n started searching for her phone and realized that she had lost it, likely during her rush to catch the bus. She quickly came up with an excuse.
Y/n: "I must've forgotten it at the flower shop."
Jungwon: "You look suspicious."
Y/n: "It's true. After the flower shop, I came straight home. I didn't make a stop anywhere or see anyone."
Jungwon seemed somewhat convinced.
Jungwon: "Fine. It's just a cellphone. What about tomorrow? When and where do you want to meet? Do I pick you up?"
Y/n: "No need. Let's meet in front of the zoo at the entrance at 1 P.M. If you're there and it's raining, find a place to take cover."
Jungwon couldn't resist adding a playful threat.
