We all jumped when we heard the frightening noise of gunshots. The girls were so frightened, I didn't know how to comfort them, I was scared for myself.
Aaron was in the kitchen which was in the far back of the house so he probably couldn't hear them. There was a loud banging on the door when all of the gun shots had stopped, and so had the groaning.
Was it over? Was mom and dad back? I had so many questions, what just happened.
There was yelling, It sounded like Moms yelling. I wanted to open the door so badly, I had to ask Aaron first, but I didn't want to, I didn't know what to do. I ran as fast as I could to the kitchen and I explained everything that had just happened. Aaron had given me the okay to look out the peep-hole in the door to see if it was either mom or dad.The suspension had grown as I had walked up to the door, I was so nervous. I looked through the hole, "It's mom!! Oh, oh and dad!" Mia had run as fast as she could to the door, so did Aaron.
We had taken all of the barricades off of the door and let them both in, with a dash we had barricaded it up again. I had given them the biggest hug ever, I missed them so much. We went back to the dining table to tell mom and dad the plan, They laughed at us.
"What's so funny? What do you expect, us to have a full blown out plan?" Aaron had said with a little bit of frustration in his voice.
After the long lasting laugh had stopped mom had said "No dear it's just that we already packed up our base and practically brought it here. We have enough food for all of us and 2 fully charged phones. Electricity is going out fast and it's getting late so the zombies won't be able to see us as well as they can during the day. We need to go outside and grab all the stuff." Aaron and I had groaned, But I had to agree.
We finally had finished and surprisingly there were no zombies in sight. We had seen a car zoom as fast as it could go beside us as we were getting all the stuff loaded out of the car.
Surprisingly no one noticed, just me. There was a lot of food, it felt like we would have it for decades, But I knew it wasn't enough. We had 6 people in the house, that food was going to drain quickly
