As the days went by slower and slower, the barricades were breaking, food was running low. The radio had started to work, "Hey guys! Come into the living room, there's someone talking on it." Aaron had said after we had finished dinner.

We all ran, pushing and shoving through the house to get to the radio. We could hear it, It was true. They were talking. With a loud static noise they soon after had started to talk,

"Hello, this is the radio station, 105.7. We have heard from local news that are here with us right now  that the air has somehow become toxic because of all of the zombie bacteria. More and more zombies haven't lowered in their numbers since this has all started. We have found out that there are still many people that are still alive in the area. A girl and her little brother- names are unknown are roaming around house to house seeing if they could come in. Don't trust anyone, We never know if they are faking it. Food establishments are running low and breaking down, Electricity is slowly going out day by day."

The radio was so staticy that it was hard to hear anything, then it went out. Every single light in the house flickered then went out instantly. All we had was the light on our phones, which for some reason wouldn't stop going off. It was like the phone was having a seizure. I picked it up and it's bright light shined in my face, right when my hand touched the cold phone the notifications had stopped.

I slowly read them. It told me to go outside. I didn't know what to do, should I?. I realized that we had a gas mask inside of our closet and I had run for it.

With a dash I snatched it off the hook and ran to my room and hid it under my bed, somewhere where I knew I wouldn't forget about it. Soon after I had snuck into the living room where everyone was playing board games and laughing like crazy. I took one of the phones and checked the time,

7:21. That's way too early to be going outside.

I thought to myself. I had to wait till midnight before I could make any moves. I had fallen asleep a few minutes later and woke up a little bit closer to 12 AM. Perfect!  Though I was exhausted I had to follow through with it. I knew that whoever was on the other side of that phone, they knew what they were doing. It was a horribly risky thing to do nor did it make sense but something was telling me to go.

I had snuck out into the living room one last time, kissing Mia on the forehead, Not knowing if or when I would be back.
