Right in the head. Anna screams, so loud that the pounding from the door on the other building gets louder. We all try to get her up off the ground from her brother but nothing works. At this point she's screaming, Alyssa runs up and grabs her by the arm, pulls her. Anna falls back on her butt and crunches up her body.
Alyssa sighs in defeat. We sit there, comforting her in all ways we can think of. She finally calms down, but she's definitely still crying a bit but holding it back.
As we continue walking to the end of the building, we look down. It's clear, no zombies.
"Guys! We can go down here!" I yell out to everyone.
"I don't want to go, Izzy. My.......Brother" Anna keeps complaining to us about her brother.
"You wanna know what?" Alyssa interrupts
"I've lost my ENTIRE family through this, I never wanted that to happen but I knew that right after they were dead, that I would have to move on. People die, it's a part of life. So fucking deal with it Anna."
Alyssa sounds very frustrated at this point, She has never sounded like this. She looks frustrated too. As Alyssa walks away to the other side of the building, she just sits there. As I walk over to her, my rage does nothing but grow. I start to ask myself, why am I mad? I shouldn't be mad. Alyssa should be mad, Anna was the one starting everything about this whole family situation.
"Hey.."
She just stays quiet, from the look on her face I could just see all of the anger she is facing.
"Look, I know you're mad. Anna has a right to complain though, you guys are two different people, you can look at losing someone a different way then you will. She's probably never lost anyone, it was her brother for pete's sake!"
I walk over to the rest of the group where they're still comforting Anna, I slowly roll my eyes and everyone notices. Everyone!
They all kind of just give me a bad look. I didn't care that much. I really just shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you guys ready to go?" I say in relief after all of the awkward silence
"Yeah..I guess.." Anna says with a huge dramatic sigh
Everyone kind of just gives me a look, I look at Jeremiah and give him a little smirk, He smiles back which makes my day a lot better. I start walking and I get to the edge of the building. Jeremiah walks over to me and sits next to me.
I look at him, we stare at each other for a good minute. I laugh a little bit and he smiles.
"Has anyone told you how pretty your smile is?" Jeremiah asks
"No.....Actually..I haven't." I smile a little bit as I answer that question.
Now let me tell you, He is so incredibly hot, nice and charming. I've never met someone that is this handsome. But Alyssa is my friend, I could never date him if she likes him.......Oh screw it! I lean over to him and grab the back of his head and kiss him, surprisingly he kisses me back.
No one noticed but I know that Alyssa did. I can just feel someone watching us and I know that it would have been her, than anyone else. I look at him and he smiles.
"I like you a lot Izzy. This'll be hard with all of this apocalyptic stuff happening."
