We stayed there for a little while. She was still pointing her crossbow at the noise. Finally it starts running towards us. Fast. It pops out and she shoots, and she misses. "Jeremiah! Why do you do this?!" A weird looking boy comes out of the bushes and looks me up and down "Whose this?" He asks, he smiles at me.
A pleasant one. She looks at me up and down. "Izzy.." She mutters. "I'm guessing your name is Jeremiah?" He comes up to me and shakes my hand.
"Okay whatever. We need to start heading to the Coffee Shop!" Alyssa sounded angry. "But the last time I checked it was crou-" Jeremiah had said "We know!" Me and Alyssa had said that at the same time. I start to walk toward the city and Jeremiah yells "Hey! Wait up!" "What? What do you want?" I snapped at him "Have you slept? 1. You look really tired and 2. You're grumpy" He had said.
"No, I haven't slept in like 2 days." "That's bad. Wanna get on my back so you can?" He politely asks.
"I don't think your girlfriend will like that, though." He chuckles.
"That's not my girlfriend. That's my best friend. She has a crush on me though." I look at him, concerned. "How did you figure that out?" "She told me a couple of times, a couple of months before this had all happened."
I just started walking away after I heard that. He kept following me through-out this journey, which I found very odd. We finally get to the light and we see all of the Zombies. Jeez, That's a lot to deal with. I thought to myself.
We started walking down the side road we had found a little ways past the Coffee shop. We continue walking for a bit down the side of the building.
We find a door that enters the coffee shop. But then, we hear a slight whistle coming from above us. We all look up and it's The Girl.. I see a ladder up ahead and as we go towards it, I hear the zombies get louder. We start climbing up the ladder as we hear the zombies chasing after us.
I start to get frightened and so does Alyssa. We get to the top of the building after a lot of climbing, and we see the girl.
"Hey! Who are these people?" The girl has asked
"Oh, there are just a few- Friends, I have found on the way here. Also what's your name, you never told me it." I had said with hesitation.
"It's Anna, so now we should go down to this other building."
We all agree. We all start heading down to the ledge of the building. To no one's surprise Anna's brother breaks out of his muzzle, He tries to attack Anna and bite her. He gets on top of her and she fights to not get bit. All of us stare, not knowing what to do about the situation.
Holding my breath I whisper in Alyssa's ear,
"Shoot him.."
