-- Casey's POV --
I stepped out the house, into the backyard and closed the sliding door behind me. Completely blocking out the voices and light music from inside.
The need for fresh air was so high that i couldn't take it anymore so i closed my eyes and took a deep breath. A wave of peace flying right over me, forming a smile on my lips from how good it felt right now.
Even the ground just laid with pure grass, it looked like paradise. The view of a ocean or beach all the way over the fence. The sun setting down right between the trees.
I took extra steps to the side, scanning the fading daylight. Taking further sips from my glass, i let the alcohol take over me. My eyes shot to the side immediately though, hearing as the music had became loud again and Laila stepped out.
"Saw you come out here, wanted to see what you were up to." She spoke out to me, closing the door and making her way closer. My mind already didn't know how to act, her confidence appearance bringing stress over me.
I couldn't hold back to scan her body out once again. The perfectly curled hair laying in front of her shoulders. White and opened blazer, hands in the pockets of her lose suit pants. Just breath taking on how someone can look so appealing.
"If you aren't aware yet than my eyes are up here, Casey." She broke apart the silence, making my eyes travel back up. I gave out a light laugh from my embarrassment, breaking the eye contact for a second.
"Sorry, i zoned out." I said, trying my best to seem confident in the situation. "I'm sure you did." Her smile honestly formed butterflies in my stomach, like a high school girl getting to talk to her crush for the first time.
"But despite all that. I wanted to suggest you something." Laila said those words, bringing pure curiosity in me already to what she has in mind. "And what would that be?" I smiled innocently, patiently waiting.
"As you know now, i'm moving here to continue my business. Planned it for a while to change the atmosphere so finally i'm here, ready to carry it out. Yet most of my workers didn't find it efficient to move with me so i wanted to suggest you to partner up with me."
I knew my mind blew up in shock. Absolutely amazed from the thought of getting the chance to work with her. But i showed no interest, sort of absorbing her to understand if she's being serious right now.
This attractive and wealthy women is asking me to take part in whatever she has made? Am i dreaming or better yet fantasizing it?
"I can't lie though, i have stacks of papers with applications for the open spots but since i got to know you just now, it spiked the desire to make us closer by the days." Her hand lifted the drink to her mouth, slightly apparting her lips to take a sip.
I couldn't even function anymore. Am i seriously delusional or dumb right now? Everything she does is so amusing. For me to work with her in one building, it's like an obvious trap to self destruction.
The times i could walk by her in the hallways though. Turning my head back to catch a glimpse of her for the second time to only find out she's already staring right back at me with the most loving eyes. Making my heart drop to floor in that moment.
"Well allow me to think about it for now. I have a job interview planned already so low chances for you." I confidently confessed, watching her expression change to slight disappointment.
The hell i don't got a single interview! My lying ass is trying it's best to have control over myself right now but thankfully it's working.
"Just suggesting." She soon enough replied, traveling her eyes among her backyard. "Anyways." She disagreed to get silence between us. "Want to see something fun?" Her eyes locked on mine, feeling as she sees the excitement in mine.
I gave a nod, scanning her lift up her hand for me to grab so i did just that. She lead me onto the path that stopped at the side of the mansion. The door opened and we stepped in, my eyes widening to sight of what's inside.
A pure blue and long indoor pool. A hot tub already steaming right next to it, shining led lights from inside the water. I dragged my eyes further, exploring the matched coloring from the area and the bar in the corner.
We walked over to it, her sliding behind the counter as i sat down on the stool. "Now, what can i get such a pretty girl to drink?" She leaned on the counter with her hands, giving me a wide smile. I laughed out to her light role-playing but decided to play along.
"Just a refill of the whiskey, please." I slid my glass towards her. Laila grabbing a bottle off the shelf, pouring the drink in. "Don't worry about paying because the owner informed me about the drinks you take being on the house." She spoke out yet adding another taster into the glass.
"How generous." I locked my eyes up on her, reaching my hand out to grab the glass but hers came in contact with mine. She didn't drop her smile and brushed her fingers away from mine, letting me give out a chuckle to the mistake from us.
"Maybe i can get you something else? Preferably a great company for tonight?" She questioned, leaning back on the counter with a gaze. "See i think i already found it. Someone i met just today and already love to spend every second with." I widened my smile towards her, making her laugh out to my answer.
A door opened to the side of us, making my attention drop over to it and see the girls walk in. "Here you two are!" One of them walked over with a exciting tone.
