-- Casey's POV --

I kept walking back and forth among the hallway, constantly worrying why Laila isn't coming out of her office for the meeting we are almost late for.

The interaction with her and i yesterday hadn't left my mind since. Staying way in the night to just try and answer the questions i wanted to ask her.

This attractive ass women. So sexy that it seems almost a dream come true to know and be so close to. I knew i hadn't imagined the whole moment, it was so obvious that she might have the genetic of a man and it bringed complete shock towards me how i hadn't noticed it before.

I couldn't take it anymore though and knocked on her door. Not hearing any response made me just open the door and step in.

"Miss, the meeting is scheduled soon." I spoke out whilst standing by the door. "Mhm. Just a minute." She replied yet absolutely buried into the laptop. "Miss, we don't have a minute. The group is waiting and ready to hear your idea." I spoke back nervously. Praying to the god that i don't anger her up but i definitely made a mistake.. once again.

"Can i get a single fucking break?! I fucking know! Don't remind me of this shit!" Laila immediately bursted at me, standing up and walking over. "It's my job though. I organise everything to be on time." I tried to look unfazed from her yelling.

Her eyes sort of stayed on mine, not a single word coming out of her mouth anymore. "Sorry. Let's just go." She walked passed me, leaving the office as i had no time to think about her mood swings.

I followed after her, us arriving to the meeting room. I sat down and she stood in front of the table. Making herself appealing to everyone in the room.

Laila began the explaining and introduction about the project as i roamed my eyes among the meeting room. Everyone was in suits, men and women.

My eyes locked on one person though. Alex staring right at me already and a smile spreading among his lips as he saw me notice him. It began to be obvious that the talking is something he's not paying attention to at all. His main focus was me.

I did feel uncomfortable maybe even embarrassed from the eye contact held. But i wasn't about to show it so i kept cool and stared back confidently.

An hour or more passed, the comments and recommendations being spoken out and the meeting coming to an end. I absorbed the clients walk out one by one, soon leaving the three of us in the room.

"I'll be back, we need to talk over the notes i took so wait here." Laila spoke out to me before leaving the room herself. I stood up and took a glance to Alex that has had me on edge the whole time we were here.

"Are you not going to follow after your people like you already should have?" I had stood up from my chair while saying. It was obvious though that he didn't take a single hint on wanting to do that.

"That's no way of speaking to someone you want to take partnership with." His legs lead himself around the table, closer to where i was standing. "You're partnershipping with Ms. Florin, not me and my attitude is not something you should even care to worry about." I replied confidently. "Listen, i have a taste for bad girls so how about we range up this coffee date?" I felt his hand slide on my waist. Purely taken back from the change of energy on him. "Get out!" I stepped away immediately, not wanting anything to do with him.

I could see he was about to walk back closer but before yelling back at him again, Laila opened the door, noticing the situation.

"Oh, is there something you want to talk about Outwoods? I thought everyone already left." She innocently asked while looking at the both of us. "No, everything's fine. Wanted to say you did a good job but i'll be going now." Alex mmediately had eased out, leaving the room in no time.

"Really use any opportunity to get fucked?" Laila had immediately came at me with her words while walking closer. "Excuse me?" My frustration side was so close to appearing towards her now. "I'm not blind. I saw the need to have you naked in his eyes the whole meeting plus just now." She explained further, gathering the note papers among the table. "Listen, if you saw that than yes, i'm sure it was true but that didn't mean i wanted anything to do with him!"

"He was the one approaching me! Thank god you came in before i got to hear his nasty thoughts out loud." I continued in a serious tone. I could see that Laila had a thoughtful look, kinda deciding whether to believe it or not.

"Stay away from him, Casey. Friend of your or not but he's no good. I'm basically standing against him as an enemy in this business." Laila had explained calmly, walking over to me with the papers. I felt sort of honored that she trusted me about the moment she walked in on yet a comforting feeling followed after. Her assuring me to stay away from someone is like a gesture to her wanting me to be safe.

"Than why do you act so innocent towards him?" I questioned, remembering the conversations we held in the office after him came. "That's what business is about. Lying on every corner you look to not raise drama or complications." She calmly explained. Making me give her an understanding nod.
