-- Casey's POV --

"It's quite terrifying that we haven't been hanging out as we used to." I spoke through the silence, giving a look over to Natalie. "Quite busy, i know it's my fault so don't worry, i'll be in track soon." She pushed up a smile at me whilst speaking.

"What's new anyway?" She nudged my shoulder, giving a chuckle out. "Oh, you won't even believe it all!" I placed my glass on the coffee table. "Come on, baby. Speak it all out, you know i love to hear everything in your life." Natalie encouraged me further.

"You know i have told you about my boss, right?" I began, watching her face show curiosity now. "All this time, like i have revealed it to you, i'm in love with Laila but just a few days ago. Oh god! The moment we had was unbearable!" I admitted, driving her intriguing side crazier. "Continue!"

"Laila confessed to me just than. And i kid you not, all the loving things she has said to me right after and through these days has me melt to just think back at it." My lips just spread a smile while i explained. "See we're not dating. Haven't discussed it yet but the intimate evenings and nights drive me even madder about that women."

"You two have gotten that far?!" Natalie asked me in complete shock yet excitement. "Yes! I'm really sad that i couldn't have been confessing you about all this right after it happened but you truly were all over the place with what you told me were work related." I spoke out.

"It's alright. You know it's not like we haven't talked in weeks, just a couple of days." She gave off a laugh. "But you and Laila? Never could have imagined the two of you actually getting somewhere." She began, raising light confusion towards me. "Why is that?" I questioned but keeping my smile up.

"I mean you know it yourself that before all this you told me how heartless she is, acts like a cold ass and let alone violent to the staff and you." Natalie explained further about her opinion. "You can't lie that the words that came from your mouth about her were brutal than. Absolutely trashed her out on her strictness."

"Alright, yes, i know. First impressions are quite important to me yet as time went on, we growned into one another. Her mood was up and down all along but i could sense that i was getting attached to her personality." I happily confessed.

"Really? I mean from what i have heard all you say about her is only negative things. Really believe that she's gonna be the one for you?" Natalie's question sort of shocked me inside. She's always been happily supportive about everything but her deep comment made me confused.

"I mean i know what my heart wants and i can see that Laila feels exactly the same way. I'm not gonna put a barrier over the love i have for someone just because they have a different type of acting on things when the mood changes. That doesn't minimize the attachment for me unless she would actually be physically brutal to me."

"But how do you know she doesn't have that physical violence in her now? You told me about how she has came at you before and just a few weeks, can't change that part of a persons personality." She spoke out about it. "But i genuinely understood that she meant it in a playful way back than. Yes, might have been off the limits but she's not that insane to have me dead from her anger issues."

"Listen, Casey. I'm your best friend so i'm gonna be honest with you. Laila is not the right person for you. She can't hold that innocent and loving side on her for long. She'll have you drained out completely and leave you in the dirt."

I physically and mentally froze after hearing Natalie speak out about the topic. I never would have expected that she could change so much in just a few days. It didn't seem like her at all. Natalie never was the person to truly say it out and order me to not do something.

"Oh god, sorry. I have a quick run i have to make to a friends house." She had glanced down to her phone, seeing the time. "Already? We barely catched up on each others lifes." My eyes were locked on her, seeing as she stands up and grabs her purse. "Casey, sorry. I will make it up to you but for now, i'll see you later." She immediately turned and rushed out my living room in no time, hearing the door open and shut back closed.

I took in minutes of silence. Trying to understand what the hell just happened. Natalie's acting was so strange. Like there is obviously something she's hiding from me but i couldn't get a single idea about what the fuck it is since she didn't speak up about anything on what she's been doing the past days.

My thoughts were broken apart as i heard the doorbell ring, making myself get off the couch and over to the front door to open it.

"Listen, Casey, please let me speak-" I immediately tried to shut it back close from seeing Alex standing there but his foot was placed between the door and the frame. "Casey! I beg you to hear me out right now. I didn't come to try and get us together but rather speak about Natalie!" Alex's words filled my ears, my hands releasing the pressure off the door and taking my eyes on him.

"Casey, she's not who you think she is. She's trying to betray you right now. Just please let me speak." He truly gazed at me with the most truthful eyes, feeling as i had no choice to listen what he has to say.
