The Fox and the Dog

Chapter One

Soushi's POV.

My day was quiet, after a few weeks of walking a nice nap in a high tree was just the thing I needed. That is until some dumb green thing tried to burn me.

"I said answer me weakling!" Realizing that he was there for a while trying to get my attention, I opened one eye and looked down at him.

Glaring fire at him, making him scream and ran away. Closing my eyes again and looping my arms behind my head I relaxed again. "who are you?" Then again maybe not. Opening my eyes to see Sesshomaru the demon lord of the west.

I sighed deeply and sat up. "you know just because your The Lord of the west doesn't mean you can boss around others who arrived in a place before you." he didn't say anything and just stepped on the now noticed goblin demon.

"Jaken the next time you lie about a clearing being empty, I'll kill you." he sounded so emotionless and monotoned that it sen chills down my spine though I didn't show it.
I knew they couldn't really see me in the shadows of the tree branch.

So when I stepped out of the shadows the goblin gasped. "Milord he's a fox yokai." putting a hand on my hip I glared at him. Yelping he jumped and hid behind a two headed dragon horse.

To protect myself I dressed like a man, my family was attacked when I was younger by filthy Dragon-demons, they've been trying to kill me ever since I got away. By the grace if some unknown god and by my older brothers sacrifice, I got away.

On his dying breath, Tomoe told me to act like a man to protect myself, then he undid his hair and tied up mine with his red hair rope.
"Lord Sesshoumaru!" The sound of a little girl sounded from a bush, when she ran out and not far behind a troll yokai crashed out.

The little girl ran to hide behind the Dog yokai, but I just knew she wouldn't make it so faster than the dog I drew my sword and ran at the troll yokai. Flash stepping around the Dog and his pack I jumped up into the air and brought Ryoseiga down on the weak yokai.

When it was dead I swiped my sword clean and put it away. "wow Mr. that was amazing." turning my head slightly I looked at the little girl, she was smiling and clutching a handful of flowers. "thank you sir, for saving me." I didn't say anything I just stared down at her.

"Would you like to-"
"No." I said cutting her off, then I turned away from them and walked away. all the while feeling the dog's on my retreating form.
