Soushi's POV.
The wedding its self was going to happen after we defeated Naraku, and so while myself and Sesshoumaru searched for him we let Inukimi plan and prepare the wedding, every now and then we would check in on her to make sure she didn't go over board and to make some decisions. Like food clothing for both grooms men and brides maids, flower girl ring bearer and such.
We would never stay with her too long because she would just drive us too crazy. So the longest we'd stay was a week, before we would leave again, after leaving we traveled for a few more weeks, running into Naraku once or twice, only to have him escape due to the fact that Inuyasha doesn't know how to stay out of the way, and this time it cost him the life of his old love, Kikyo. Having not stayed to watch her die we left following the disgusting stench of Naraku. After an hour we lost it, growling in frustration I clenched my fists and punched a tree to release my anger. The tree now toppled over and broken made me feel sightly better.
"Soushi? Do you feel better?" "No not really but it helped to let out some of my pent up anger." Sesshoumaru nodded and took my hand. "So long as you feel somewhat better." He said smoothly. I nodded and we headed out again. "My lady we need to go to your home land something there beacons me." Feeling my blade pules and speak I laid my free hand on him and nodded, looking to Sesshoumaru I said, "love I need to do something but I will find you in a few days, is that okay?" He didn't say anything but by the grip he held on my hand he didn't want to, but I squeezed his hand back to reassure him. So he nodded.
Before leaving I kissed him on the lips it was rough and passionate so he knew I would always come back to him. When I pulled away I had turned into my male form he had become accustomed to this form for I had teased him once or twice with it and he only looked at me like I was still the woman he loved. And soon I was traveling in a cloud of sapphire blue cherry blossoms. Towards the North, my people long gone, when I arrived I was greeted by their lost souls, they whisked around in different colours matching their spiritual powers my family were two coloured because of the royal blood that flowed through our blood. It was the royal blue and silver that told others that we were special.
And the bigger the size the stronger the demon. My father and brother had the biggest ones be who they were it was understandable, my brother had four hundred years on me, and my parents were the same age as Sesshoumaru's thought I was older than Sesshoumaru by at least two three years. Though we didn't let it bother us, as I traveled I flew by fox fire and for my kind it was the fastest means of traveling. When I reached the place the presence was calling out to my sword I looked around and a large blue-sliver ball or fire flew towards a section of trees, feeling the similar presence of my father I ran after it, I chased it for an hour before I came upon the ruined grounds of the home I grew up in, with my brother and parents.
The flashes of the attack blasted behind my eyes in heartbreaking attacks, screams and shouts. I could hear my name being called in both worry, sadness and grief. It was miles away from the burning of my home when my brother found me. He was so worried that he didn't see the demon come up behind him. And I was too late to save him. Shaking painful memories away I walked into the house, sand followed the ball of spirit fox fire. When it stopped it was in my parents old room. And hovering over a chest at the foot of the bed. I stood in front of it and hesitated for a moment. The flame stayed over the box for a second more before descending into it. When was gone a series of clicks and gears sounded before the box popped open. And inside was my father old armor and sword. I had wondered why he had never worn it the last few years and now realized he had it altered so it would fit me.
Slow but surely I pulled it out and put it on. It was a war haori it was a beautiful colour, it had a black nine-tailed fox on the back the tails twisted around the back and the head curved over the shoulder. The sleeves were long; longer than Sesshomaru's and had different shades of blue in the forms of flames. The haori was a pale grey, the pants were black and not as poofy as Seeshomaru's. The obi was navy blue with violet fade flames on the ends and bows where it would tie in the front. Once I had it all on, I put my ankle boots back on, and grabbed my sword.
Next to it lay my father's, I looked at it for a while before putting it in my obi along with my own. Next to go on was my chest plate. It was simple and spike-less. But it was okay for me, the shoulder pad covered down to my elbow, in layers. Over my other shoulder hung a cloak that tied under my arm with the shoulder armor. It swung all the way to my feet just brushing the floor with my tail. Though there was more in the box. I could see my mother's Kiseru pipe along with her tobacco leaves. Taking it I put it in my sleeve. Last was to re-tie my hair in my brother's red hair rope. Once up I looked at myself in the mirror, pleased with what I saw I left and started to look for my mate.
