Soushi's POV ~time skip~ {two months} After spending two months at Sesshoumaru's mansion, he told me he wanted to throw a gathering to show me off though I told him it wasn't necessary, but he insisted. And I didn't want to argue. So from our bed I went to my wardrobe and picked out an outfit, quickly I showed it to him and he nodded his approval though I had to have a maid alter it so I could have my tail hang out the back of it freely.
As it was sent to a seamstress I went to help Rin pick her dress for the gathering. I had opted to help Jaken too but he refused to wear anything but the clothing he received from Sesshoumaru when he started serving him. But I talked "trick" him into letting me chose something other than the ugly brown clothing he wore on a daily bases. (A/N: I will post a pic of Soushi's dress in the next chapter.)
So in stead of the brown he usually wore I have him something in grey and black. When he finished changing he came out of his room and showed me and Rin who has walked into the room as he went to the bathroom to change. The garb was the same on big difference was the colour. His pants normally were light brown now we're storm grey his under shirt stayed white while his haori and hat were black. It gave his natural green skin a more vibrant shine to it over the dead muddy green his usual brown wardrobe gave.
Once ready I sent him down to wait and usher in guest as they arrived. Next I worked on Rin first I did her hair, lightly curling the ends I put the top half of her hair in a bump and pushed her bangs to the right in a light sweep. I didn't use a lot of makeup barely any to say she had on, if anything I washed her face perfectly and gave her a nude shadow and a lipgloss that would keep her lips from drying. Next was to put her dress on. It was white with a sleeveless lace top, that attached to only the top of the dress that had a simple and concealing oval bodice and a princess skirt, that flowed at the hips.
At the shoulders down to about one third of the skirt held beautiful beaded swirls and curves that made the simple white of the dress sparkle with innocence, and purity. Also I have her the necklace my mother gave my father to give me as a young girl, it was a simple silver chain with a tear shaped emerald on the end of it. Secretly I enhanced the jewel with my demonic energy to protect Rin from demons that wanted to cause any sort of harm to her. Once she was finished I sent her to help Jaken. She thanked me, kissed my cheek and ran out in her little heelless shoes.

Next it was time for me to ready myself. Quickly I went to mine and Sesshoumaru's room and took a bath washing my hair, ears and tail with scented soaps and shampoos and conditioner. When I was free of the soap and other bathing products I went into the room using my fox fire to dry my hair, ears and tail. When that was done I worked on styling my hair, braiding it I tugged on some strands to make it fluffier and full of volume. Moving onto my makeup, I used nude and black and made a shadow effect and then added a simple line of black liner on the water line of my eyes and on the top of my lash line.
When my eyes were done I put on a light blush, and nude lipstick and gloss, and a knock at the door told me that my dress had arrived opening the door and letting in the maid she helped me out it on and when I was done I put on my heels and left the room to go find Sesshoumaru. As I descended the stairs I had to hold my skirt and the railing, as I looked at my feet coming down the stairs to avoid falling at the bottom of the stairs someone held out their hand for me. Looking up I was met with beautiful golden eyes and a warm smile. Taking his hand he led me down the last two steps and looped my hand through his arm, leaning into my ear he said "you look divine." Blushing I whispered back I said "thank you, and you look handsome as always." Chuckling we walked into the ball room and we were announced "Lord Sesshoumaru of the West and his mate Lady Soushi of the North."
Looking at him I said "that has a nice ring to it." He nodded and kissed my cheek. Through the rest of the night we spoke to other demons and demonesses I had to scare off a few she-demons because they would try and make moves on my mate when I wasn't looking though Sesshoumaru had no problems with me because I scared off my share of overly familiar he-demons. When one of the wolf demons thought it was funny to yank me onto the dance floor and thought I was going to willingly dance with him he had another thing coming. Planting my feet I unleashed one stage of my demonic power and he almost had an accident on the dance floor. Once I let go of his hand he ran off with his tail between his legs.
Returning to Sesshoumaru he kissed my forehead and took a sip of his drink with a small smirk on his lips. About half way through the night Rin, Jaken and three children that had accompanied their parents ran up to me and tugged on my skirt to get my attention. "Soushi?" Looking down at Rin I said "what is it sweet pea?" Smiling she said "can you sing everyone a song I was telling my new friends that you had an amazing voice and I was hoping you could show then." Smiling I looked up at Sesshoumaru and he nodded. Smiling back down at them I said "okay sure, just let the band know and I'll be there shortly." She nodded and ran off with the others.
Kissing him on the lips I made my way to the stage and grabbed a glass on the way, softly I tapped it with my now sharpened nail making the loud glass clink over everyone's voices to get their attention. Once I had it I spoke as loudly as I could with out shouting and informed then of what was happening. When I finished my explanation I told the band what song to play and they got ready. Once it started up I waited for when the lyrics should start and then the time came I started.

During the song I locked eyes with Sesshoumaru and smiled at him when smiled. When the song finished I stepped off and the clapping started is was a few people at first then it escalated. Walking to Sesshoumaru and a happy but drossy Rin I smiled at kissed the top of her head. After she thanked me she leaned her head back into the crook of Sesshoumaru's neck and fell asleep. Excusing ourselves we tasked Jaken with the rest of the party. He stuttered his understandings and went to go watch the rest of the party goers like a hawk. When we reached Rin's room I went in and changed her though I left he necklace on in case a demon came in and thought he or she could turn my now claimed child into a midnight snack.
After placing a light kiss on her forehead I blew out the small candle and closed the door.
