Chapter Thirteen

Sesshomaru's POV
I don't remember much after collapsing, but slowly I could feel myself getting better. But it was extremely warm on my chest and right side. Half awake I moved my hand to see what it was and I felt something smooth and soft. Peaking my eyes open I was greeted with a beautiful sight, her ears were limp and twitching in her sleep her tail clutched at my leg, while her arms and legs hung to me. Her hair was soft and silky as it draped over her cheek and shoulder, which was bare as her dress sleeve slipped off it. Slowly I trailed my knuckles across her cheek and down her neck to her shoulder, and stopped at her waist to pull her closer to me. Turning more on my side I cuddled her to my chest, stirring she furrowed her brows before opening her golden-silver eyes. At first they fogged over with sleep but when she say me awake she bolted up and gave a cry of happiness before crushing me in her arms.

Soushi's POV
After I laid down next to Sesshoumaru I could feel sleep pulling at my mind and easily have in to it. Though when I woke I blinked a few time to clear the sleep fog from my eyes, when I was fully awake I realized that someone was watching me, looking up my gaze was met with sparkling golden eyes, bolting up I cried out in joy and hugged Sesshomaru. He grunted and I quickly pulled away, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you again." He frowned "what do you mean again?" I looked away from him, "well it was my fault that you were hurt in the first place, had I not been captured you wouldn't have gotten hurt." I could feel my eyes water, and my ears flatten in self-disappointed. Suddenly soft lips crashed against mine, looking into his face I gasped and he put his tongue into my mouth. He kissed me like that for a while before we needed air. Foreheads pressed together and breathless pants fanning each other I closed my eyes and pressed my hand to his cheek.

I slowly moved in for a second kiss but we were interrupted by Rin's cries of joy. "Lord Sesshomaru! Your alright!" He nodded and smirked as he patted her head. "Lady Soushi, healed you when none of the other healers could." He looked at me in surprise. "It was leftover negative energy from my battle with Naraku. If I didn't use it; it would have messed up my own powers to the point of exhaustion." He nodded and pecked my lips with a small kiss. Smiling we got up and he was still slightly weak so with Rin's help we walked him to his room and into his bed, she turned and left while I pulled the sheets up to his shoulders, he had closed his eyes and was breathing evenly so I moved to leave but something or someone caught my hand. "Stay." Turning to look at him and the look he was giving me was hard to say no too, so I walked around to the other side and got in I cuddled lightly to his side not wanting to hurt him and held his hand, grunting he pulled me closer and said "you're to far away." I sighed and shook my head lightly. But didn't move. Slowly we fell back to sleep and worked on recovering all our strength.
