(Next chappie is sorting! YAYYYYYYYYY)

"The students should be here now."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A second after their disappearance from Camp Half-Blood, the group appeared on the grounds of the majestic castle, with hoops suspended high in the air, supported by large metal poles.

"Do these guys play soccer on broomsticks or what?" Leo asked.

"Why yes." an eerie voice sounded from behind them and the group whirled around to see the speaker. He was a short, rather pudgy man with a stomach so large he looked several months pregnant.

"You must be the exchange students Minerva was talking about. Welcome to Hogwarts! I am Professor Horace Slughorn, potions master of the school. Follow me!

"Wait. Doesn't Professor Severus Snape teach potions here?" Jason asked.

Slughorn's face darkened before he replied "The chap was an old student of mine. He was a spy for You-Know-Who in the first war but something caused him to turn to our side and he became Dumbledore's spy and a major part of his plan. He died in the Battle of Hogwarts at the hands of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Or rather, at the fangs of his snake, Nagini.

Upon hearing of their dear friend's death, the demigods let out a gasp. He had been a son of Trivia and a legacy of Venus. He'd disappeared a few days before Malcolm had come back with the scouting party bearing news of the gathering army at the foothills of Tamalpais.

"Gods be good... Lou Ellen will be devastated." Percy murmured.

"How did you know him anyways?" Slughorn asked.

"He taught potions at our school, the Institution of Combat Magic till a few years ago. We are not affiliated with MACUSA and since we were in need of a potions expert, our headmaster, Mr Brunner called for one of his old students, Severus Snape." Annabeth explained.

"Demigods?"

Instantly, the demigods were on high alert. Frank and Thalia had jumped back and had their bows aimed at Slughorn while Will stood stood a few feet away, aiming down the sights of his shotgun. Percy and Jason had their spears out and the others had their swords pointed at him while Annabeth approached Slughorn- whose hands were now in the air- and put her dagger at his throat.

"How do you know that term?" Annabeth snarled.

"FifthgenerationHecate!" he said very quickly.

"Repeat what you said," Percy commanded, a dangerous edge to his voice.

"I'm a fifth-generation Hecate." he said, gasping for air as Annabeth's dagger dug deeper into his throat. Percy tipped his head towards Will, gesturing for him to check whether Slughorn was lying or not. Will nodded back, confirming Sughorn's explanation.

"Weapons down!" Percy barked and the others obeyed.

Slughorn took a deep breath, his face beaded with sweat "Well, follow me please."

The group entered the castle, taking in the marvelous sight and laughing as Annabeth latched onto Percy's hand and started blabbering about the architecture-which, to the other's surprise- Percy understood.

When they later asked him how he understood it, he said that he had taken some classes and read some books so he could follow what Annabeth said. He'd apparently done this when they'd started dating. When the couple, along with Grover and Thalia went to the Hoover Dam, Annabeth started talking about the architectural marvel that was the dam, he had understood everything and he told Annabeth how. In exchange, Annabeth learned how to skateboard and surf so she could keep up with Percy when he was doing his favorite time-pass activities. At this, Piper smiled and said something along the lines of "Relationship goals".

"I will be going now. Wait here until you hear McGonnagal tell you to come in for the sorting." Slughorn said and left them at the massive doors which presumably lead to the main hall of the castle.
