Krishna stood before a tall, black glass building. It was a private structure housing luxurious penthouses. With trepidation, she entered, half-expecting the guards to halt . Surprisingly, no one intervened.
The receptionist, noticing her arrival, promptly rose and handed her a card, leading her towards the elevator. Before she could comprehend the situation, she found herself riding up in a private elevator to the 64th floor with the card she had.
The desire to confront the person responsible for her children's accident boiled within Krishna, though she already knew their identity. If her suspicions were correct, her family and she were in grave trouble.
Today, driven by fear and a need for answers, Krishna mustered the courage to face the person who had gone to such great lengths to meet her.
Her thoughts were interrupted as the elevator doors opened into a penthouse. The entire house exuded opulence. Though Krishna herself was wealthy, this was a whole new level of affluence.
Two imposing bodyguards, who had seemingly been standing motionless at the elevator, now guided her towards grand, brown gates crafted from the mahogany wood, adorned with intricate golden designs.
Everything screamed his presence. She should have anticipated it.
As Krishna passed through the gates, she deduced and prepared herself for the forthcoming battle. She needed answers for his actions, his intentions, and most importantly, why.
Seated behind a dark mahogany table, the person responsible for her suffering sat, emanating an air of regal authority. Their deep, gray eyes locked with Krishna's, stirring a wave of anger within her. Unable to restrain herself, she questioned, her voice filled with agitation,
"Why did you do it?"
She anticipated a response, or at least an acknowledgment of his wrongdoing, but they remained stoic, his gaze holding something beyond power and arrogance, something she couldn't quite identify.
Shaking off their gaze, she repeated her question, "Why did you orchestrate the accident that harmed my children? What do you want with us? My extra working hours, my struggling business—and when you couldn't achieve what you desired, you stooped to such despicable measures. Hurting innocent children, it's unforgivable."
After her outburst, Krishna caught her breath. Yet, the person in front of her showed no reaction.
Suddenly, he rose from his seat and advanced toward her. His dominating presence and calculated footsteps unnerved Krishna. She forced herself from moving backwards from fear. Rudraksh, however, persisted, moving closer until their noses were almost touching. Their gazes locked, neither willing to back down. Rudraksh admired her fierceness, visible in her eyes, while Krishna could not help but feel her hatred increasing second by second.
After what felt like an eternity, though it lasted only a few minutes, Rudraksh spoke in a low, domineering voice, "Not your children, but your niece and nephew."
Krishna was perplexed by this statement until he spoke again, "They are your niece and nephew. The only children you will consider yours will be the ones seeded by me." He touched her womb and , continued in a disturbing manner, "This womb will be my sanctuary when we make love, when I touch your breasts and taste your purity with my sinful mouth, when our fingers intertwine as we climax together, and when we sleep naked, pressed against one another. When we continue our lovemaking in the morning, awakening together."
"And to what I did, it was, my dear your punishment, for direspecting my family, for not accepting the proposal. "
Krishna was feeling more replusive from him due to Rudraksh's vulgar words, but she snapped back to reality hearing his reason for all the travesty he caused. Summoning all her strength, she forcefully pushed him away and removed his hands that were wandering over her body as if they owned it.
"What the fuck did you just say?You hurt my children for this measly reason.Do your ego fucking comes before the life of innocent children who have nothing to do with you." Krishna shouted, her voice filled with shock and anger.
"My love, you have a foul mouth that doesn't suit a woman of your supposed stature. Regardless, we will address your disrespectful behavior once we are married."
Krishna disregarded his patriarchal tirade and firmly stated, "Marriage? I would never marry someone like you. Someone who lacks respect for women. Someone who regards others as mere dirt."
Rudraksh seethed with anger upon hearing her words, but he managed to compose himself and asserted, "You don't have a choice. We will be getting married in a month, and no one can prevent it."
"I have already rejected your family's proposal before. What made you think I have changed my mind now? There will be no wedding. Get that through your head."
"I knew you were pretending to be unaffected by us, intentionally avoiding confrontations," Rudraksh sneered. "You were trying to protect your family. Quite clever, but it only succeeded in capturing my attention.I could read you like an open book, my love."
Krishna was stunned by his confessions. She yearned to bring an end to this situation as quickly as possible and wanted to avoid engaging in a pointless argument.
"Stay out of my family and my life. You harmed my children for your twisted obsession. We are middle-class people, and we don't need problems in our lives that are mere entertainment for you."
She turned around, intending to leave, but his words halted her in her tracks.
"So, you don't care about your brother, do you? What was his name? Aakash Sihag... isn't it?"
Krishna turned back to see a wicked smile forming on Rudraksh's face. Dread filled her as she anticipated what he would say next.
