The Attraction - Wanda Maximoff x Reader

Chapter 19

'In the end, we'll all become stories.'

Wanda and I decide to go and talk to Peter. We won't keep our relationship a secret but we want him to know first. Well, first if you don't include Natasha. 

"Nervous?" Wanda asks, we're sat in the car outside of Peter's apartment. 

"Let's just get this over with." 

May answers the door and it's obvious she's shocked to see me. The small talk we share is awkward and hurts. Even when Peter first introduced us, we got on straight away. We've never been out of words or unsure of what to say. She invites us inside and a few minutes later Peter walks in. "I'll leave you three to it." 

"What are you two doing here?" Peter asks, not stopping to take a seat. 

"Peter, we just wanted to tell you that we're going to tell everyone that we're seeing each other." 

"Oh, okay," he replies. He says it softly as if he's trying to be nice. He really shouldn't be worried about being nice or polite. Not after I cheated on him. I don't know what else I expected but I'm shocked to already be leaving. 

"Peter," I say, stopping in the doorway, "I really did love you."

He smiles and walks over to me. He pulls me in for a hug and I hug him back, letting myself find comfort in the familiar feeling. "I still love you but I'm glad you have someone," he whispers, still hugging me. 

When we get back to the tower, we wait for everyone to be in the same room and then tell them all at the same time. They all appear happy for us. Tony seems to be the most shocked, I know he's worried about Peter, but I'm sure he'll come around. After everything that happened between Wanda and me, how hard it was for us to get together, I'm admittedly surprised that telling everyone would be so easy. But I'm grateful for our secret to be out. 

Wanda Maximoff, my greatest love story. I love you.

I'm sorry this ending sounds so rushed. I knew I wanted it to end with the two of them telling everyone but I wasn't sure how to write it. Perhaps I'll come back to rewrite this ending one day, I don't know.
