After purchasing tickets online the night before, the group were getting ready for their day.

Lucy looked upon her full-length mirror that was hung on the back of her door, nit picking her outfit, well more accurately, how her body looked in her clothes. She was wearing a white sleeveless crop top and grey, straight leg pants that had pleats down the front. Her little brother used to call them her 'businessman pants'. Lucy had always had troubles with her body image and eating in general. When she was in high school, she spent her whole life studying and left no time to eat, and barely enough time to sleep. She started dropping kilos, and it wasn't until she fainted in an exam that anyone truly noticed.

'Lucy!' Marie called, 'Damian has a spare Richmond scarf if you want it!'. Lucy snaps away from her fantasies and shrugs, opening the door for her friend. Marie was decked out with one of Damian's Richmond shirts, which was perfectly oversized. She had on her favourite jeans underneath, and her hair long golden in two braids. She handed Lucy the scarf, 'You look great Luc, those pants always suited you.' she said with a smile.

'Thanks Marie' Lucy uttered in rely, putting the scarf around her neck and moving through to the bathroom, she quickly styled her curtain bangs and put her medium length, chocolate brown hair in a half up half down with a tortoise shell claw clip. She washed her face, moisturised and put on an overpriced sunscreen, then put concealer on a spot and under her eyes, trying to hide her lacking sleep. Just as she was blending, Audrey bounced in. She looked at herself in the mirror,

'Time to transform' Audrey was amazing with makeup, along with Marie. Lucy wore it on special occasions, but often had Marie and Audreys help. Day-to-day, she would cover spots and wear mascara, she didn't like the smell of foundation, Lucy was more of a skin care girly. Audrey spread the bottles and powders across the bench top. She was wearing her black legging and an off-white skintight sweater, with her North face puffer vest and a Richmond scarf. Her creamy blonde hair was dead straight, she always looked perfect.

The group reconvened near the entry way. Damian wore one of his Richmond jerseys, and board shorts.  'You lot ready?' Damain spoke impatiently.

'Don't sound so impatient Damian, it takes a minute to look presentable', Audrey threw back, side-eyeing Damian's board shorts. Marie took his hand and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

'Oh!' Lucy exclaimed, 'I just have to grab something, I'll meet you guys on the street!' The group nodded as Lucy rushed back to her room, ruffling around in her half-unpacked suitcase, fishing for her film camera. She never went anywhere without it. When she reached it, she reeled it in and stuffed it her bag, along with her phone, hand sanitiser, purse, tickets and spare film reel. She shot out her room and attempted to run down to the street, but low-cut Dr Martins did not make a great running shoe.

Her friends waited in a cab for her,

'Come on Lucy!!'

'Come on Richmond!!' Lucy whooped, clapping her hands. She was getting oddly into this whole football thing. As the team ran out on to the pitch, she looked over to Audrey, raising her eyebrows. The girls had a thing for football players. With their charming personalities, muscley physique and nice hair, what girl could say no!

'Isn't that you buddy Ted?' Marie pointed towards the coach, the group got tickets rather close to the coaches' box, so Lasso was in clear view. Lucy smiled,

'Yeah, it is! Not sure if we're buddies though.' She looked in Ted's general direction, then back at her friends, 'Reckon I should go say hi?'

'Yeah I dare you!' Damian egged on, Lucy nodded in reply and headed down the stairs towards the barrier. She leaned on the barrier, about 5 meters from Coach Lasso.

'Ted!' she yelled, praying he would hear her, 'Ted!!'

'Darlin, he's not gonna hear ya, we've been yellin at 'im for the past six months' a spectator spoke to the girl, but she refused to listen to him.

'Ted Lasso!!' she bellowed, making him turn around, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. 'Ted! Over here!' His face lit up,

'Miss Lucy! How's it going?' His thick American accent cut through the crowd noise.

'I'm good!' She spoke over the crowd, 'how about you?'

'Been better, we're down a physio! And I'm worried about Roy's knee' he said in a worried tone.

'If it gets real bad, I can look at it! I'm registered nurse!' Ted's face lit up with an idea, he turned around and grabbed a the shoulder of a beaded man, dawning a Richmond cap. 'Coach Beard, this is my neighbour Lucy, and I think she might be the answer to our physio problem!' The bearded man looked her up and down, Lucy stuck out her hand,

'Lucy Miller, registered nurse.' Coach Beard shook it firmly and looked to Ted,

'Is that allowed? We can't just take on a nurse!'

'I'm happy to volunteer!' Lucy said with a smile, Coach Beard nodded to Ted,

'It's up to you Coach!'

                                                                                         ***

The rest of the group watched the Lucy talk with the coach of the Richmond team. 'I can't believe he remembered her!' Damian exclaimed,

'No one forgets Lucy Damo!' Audrey replied in awe of the girl's confidence when it came to talking to strangers. Lucy was now talking with both coaches,

'I wonder what their talking about?' Marie questioned, 'she's been chatting for a while', and with that, the group watched their friend clamber over barrier, being assisted by Ted.

'Woah woah woah!! What on earth is going on?!' Damian yelled, throwing his arms in the air, 'LUCY!!!' he screamed 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!' the girl didn't hear him.

'LUCY!' the group kept screaming, as they watched their friend be introduced to the team officials, and some of the players.

                                                                                       ***

'What is happening over in the Richmond tent?' one of the commentators spoke into the microphone 'Lasso seems to be fraternising with the fans!'

'We've seen some odd things from Lasso this season, but I don't think we seen him talk to fans.' the other commentator spoke.

'It looks like she's been dragged over the barrier!! This is every football fan's dream! Being dragged into the thick of it!'

                                                                                      ***

And in the thick of it she was! As Lucy found her feet on the grass, she followed Ted to the official's area, brushing off her grey pants, and drinking in her surroundings.

'Who the fucks this?!'
