Mario felt weightless. He was in space, but in a building. What was this place? He explored a little bit, surprisingly not floating. Finally, he saw someone. He tried to get closer, but was held back by someone. Who was it? Peach. Wait...PEACH?!
"Don't! Don't get any closer to her!" Peach yelled, trying to hold him back.
"Who cares? You broke up with me anyway. You wouldn't take me back. You want nothing to do with me. It's none of your business" Mario replied coolly, breaking free and sprinting towards the person infront of him.
"You'll be sorry!" Peach screamed as he ran. "YOU'LL BE SORRY!"
He was getting closer and closer. He could see a blue dress, pale blonde hair that was almost white...before he could get closer, the woman opened her mouth and screeched, "MARIO! WAKE UP NOW! I'LL EAT YOUR BREAKFAST IF YOU DON'T!"
"W-what the hell?"
Mario woke up on the bed, tangled in his sheets. Daisy stood over him, with Luigi hanging in the doorway.
"Wake up, sleepyhead! I made breakfast!!"
"Great. Just great. What's for breakfast?" Mario asked as he grabbed his hat from his nightstand and pulled it on.
"Mushroom omlettes!"
**A few minutes later**
Mario, Luigi, and Daisy were grouped around the table in the dining room. Luigi and Daisy were eating omlettes, and Mario was eating cereal.
"Does everything you eat in this house contain mushrooms?" Mario grumbled as he shoveled cereal in his mouth.
"No-" Luigi started to say, but Daisy interrupted him.
"Yup! Well, not everything, but Luigi always manages to find a way to sneak 'em into the food!"
"Great. Just great." Mario mumbled for the second time that day. He thought a bit about the dream he had had earlier. Who was that girl? Where was the building he was in? It felt like...space. How would he get to space? He needed to find her.
"Anyway, Daisy and I have something to say." Luigi started, glancing at Daisy, who immediately sobered up and put on an extremely unconvincing serious face.
"We think it's high time you leave." Luigi said quickly. There was a silence that felt that it stretched on for a million years.
"Leave?" Mario asked, his spoon suspended over his cereal.
"Yes. You've been freeloading here for a month. It's time you find yourself another Peach or something and move out."
"What do you mean, 'another Peach?' Nobody could ever replace Peach! And you can't make me move out! I'm your brother! Your flipping brother! I'll do anything, I swear! I'll clean your house, and cook all your food, and-"
"That's a great id-" Daisy said at the same time Luigi said, "Our decision has already been made. You can leave this afternoon after you've packed everything."
Mario slumped down in his seat. He considered throwing another tantrum, but that would be too much strain in the morning. Besides, that had gotten him thrown out last time he was here.
"Vaffanculo" Mario grumbled before dropping his spoon in his bowl and splattering everyone with milk, droplets stuck in Luigi's moustache.
"What did you say?" Luigi said loudly, starting to lose his temper.
"Woah, calm down Weegie. I can sort everything out." Daisy said soothingly while Mario stormed to his soon to be vacated room in the basement.
Daisy slipped downstairs quietly, and found Mario throwing his things into a borrowed suitcase.
"Hey hey, why are you so mad?" Daisy quipped as she sat down on the large bed.
"That little b- bundle of sunshine just ruined my life." Mario said angrily, almost hitting Daisy when he tossed a pair of overalls into his suitcase.
"He didn't ruin anything! Besides, I have a solution. Well, a suggestion."
"What?" Mario asked, pausing mid-toss.
Daisy whispered something into his ear, and a smile started slowly spreading across Mario's face. This was going to be great.
