After the events and talking with the g.u.n leader Abraham shadow telports  him and himself to angel island as Abraham knew about it in reports and stuff but never actually got to experience the island before

Abraham : wow but why are we here aren't we-

Shadow : yes I  know we were talking about Maria which is why I want to show you smt

( they walk through the forest of the floating island while shadow not giving much anwsers why their here which is somewhat annoying yo Abraham as he wants to rush things a bit considering he has a whole military branch to run)

( after some time they make it to the middle of it all which is the master emarld altar where he meets with knuckles who opens he's eyes with a stare as he gets up and walks to shadow)

Knuckles: visiting her again ?

Shadow nods : how is she?

Knuckles: alot better then she did few months ago that healing technique with the chaos energy did wonder

Abraham admired the huge gem in the altar as he tried to walk closer but knuckles stop him

Knuckles: sorry but no the master emarld is strictly off limits to only its * guardians *

Abraham : I see but with its power tbe military could be-

Shadow: we did not come here for military fantasies.

Abraham : then why are we here then if not for this ?

Shadow: there is a another place nearby knuckles you lead the way

Knuckles nod and leads them down a forest path as get closer to their destination they hear humming of a woman as the song she humming was soft and gentle

Abraham was confused what was the humming about but knuckles and shadow listen to it as they know the lyrics pretty well

They reach the  end of the forest trail as they reach a cottage where the humming is louder as they see a old woman singing while attending to her garden or flowers as knuckles smiles ans runs up to her as he called her aunt Maria *

The woman stared at knuckles before hugging him *

Maria : hello knuckles how was it guarding the master emarld today

Knuckles: it was same old

Maria : hope you didn't stay with it all the time you need to relax as well

Knuckles roll he's eyes playfully

Knuckles: yeah yeah

Abraham look closely at the woman as then he sees he's old dear friend Maria who made him shock.

Abraham : how i....how?!

Maria look at him  and then look yo shadow for a explanation

Shadow: Maria this this is Abraham your old friend from the ark before it got raided

Maria eyes twinkle as then walks to Abraham and hugs him

Maria : oh Abraham it's so good to see you its been such a long time

Abraham : how??? I thought you were dead! I saw you die

Shadow shakes he's head

Shadow : you only saw most of it you see right after Maria got shot I used chaos control to send her to earth and she got transport to angel island where knuckles famliy before their perish help her heal and her sickness which the doctors did not and after knuckles famliy died ,Maria took after knuckles raising her as her own and help him in more ways then one .

Knuckles nod even tho blushing in embarrassed as he trys not to show weakness to shadow and Abraham as the master emarld guardian

Maria nods to shadows story

Maria : I appreciate what shadow did that day as if he didn't do what he did I wouldn't have been alive so I am grateful to my friend

Shadow nods as he smiles a bit

Abraham let's go of the hug as he calms himself as he shows a slight smile

Abraham : I am glad and I am sorry shadow of all this time I blamed you and thought it was your fault as I thought she did die

Shadow shakes he's head as he understands

Shadow : I know if I saw the exact same scene in your eyes I would have been the same thing full of regret which would turn to anger and smt I wished I....* looks down * telport her out of their before the gun shot went off

Maria shakes her head as then bends down and pets shadow head

Maria : if I die really on thst day shadow I wouldn't want you to blame yourself for that and beside you saved my life don't you think you deserve some respect for yourself * she smiled kindly as she really appreciated what shadow did that day*

Shadow crys but stop it and wipes the tears away as then looks up and grin a bit

Shadow: I understand...I try to forgive myself and move on

* shadow really appreciate this alot as he sees smt the original self in the video game of he's past life didn't get to see its almost fulfilling smt that ges old self did not do which was a greater feeling in its self *

Maria : now then * gets up * I made some tea , care to come inside

* the 3 guys nod as then the 4 of them went inside to have some tea *
