The Dreamies bid their goodbyes to each other. And now they were taking their separate paths. Nari walked hurriedly into Jeno's car. When she went to the car. Jeno was talking to someone on the phone. So Nari had to patiently wait in order for Jeno to open the car.

In the glance on the his side of Jeno, notice Nari's presence. And he got his car keys and opened the car for Nari. As Nari was about to get, Jeno halted her, then told her to wait for a bit. And then Jeno opened the car door for her. Nari muttered a small thank to Jeno and went in her car. He waited for Nari to get in the car, when she did he closed and let her wait a bit more.

The person Jeno was talking to was Nari's dad. He called Jeno for some updates of Nari obviously. "Yes sir! Im about to bring her home. We'll be there in maybe about half an hour, so I'll apologize in advance since it's gonna take a long time." Jeno informed Mr. Jung formally.

"No worries Jeno, thank you for the update. But may I ask you something when you get here? Nothing to worry about. I mean we can do this another time, knowing your parents." Mr. Jung chuckled through the phone.

Jeno stood a little more tense, throwing Nari a little glance, but her not seeing since she was too busy on her phone as well. Jeno focuses back on the call and  cleared his throat "We can do it tonight. I'll just inform my parents ahead. I'm sure they will understand, since you are close with them." Jeno hears a laugh from Mr. Jung which makes him laugh awkwardly. "Alright, you have a long way ahead of you. See you Jeno." "See you Uncle!" With that the call ended.

Finally, Jeno thought to himself. He took a little breather before he got into the car. He was then startled when he heard tapping noises from his car. It was just Nari being impatient and wanting go already. He walked in the other side of the car, since that was where the driver seat was located in.

As he went in the car he hears Nari yapping about how he took so long. But Nari could see that he was exhausted. "Jung-" he called out to her softly. Nari looks at him. All Jeno could think of was how pretty she is. It was cheesy but he just thought of that. "What?" She asks back. But it turns out he didn't say anything. Instead he got a call from Sungchan.

He picked up and answered. "Hello-" "Jeno where are you?" It was Jaehyun that picked up the phone. "Oh? Jaehyun hyung, we're at Moons. Nari and I are heading back to your place-" Jeno stammers. On the other line Jaehyun was panicking a little. Knowing that he called through Sungchan's phone, it was indeed urgent. "Okay good, when you comeback here. We have to go with us on a stakeout. " he talks fast. Jeno's eyebrows burrow in thought. "Stakeout? Are you sure? Taeyong hyung informed you? Or?"

"We just need back up. Be here in the next hour, alright?" With that he hung up. Jeno put the phone down. And put both of his hands on his head, because all of the piece of information was sudden and new to him. He then puts his hands on the steering wheel and leaned forward taking a back exhale.

Nari notices how tense he was. All when he got quiet when he said Jaehyun's name. So something's up. "Lee, are you okay?" She asks him. Jeno gets back in an appropriate position so he can start the car. "Jeno?" As Jeno starts the car, he looks at Nari in a reassuring look. "Yes?" He now looks at Nari as he starts to get out the parking spot.

"Are you okay? What did Jaehyun say to you?" Nari looks at him with concern. Jeno takes a deep breathe in and takes a quick glance at her. "I'm fine. He just says I'm part of their mission for tonight." He says  as drives. Nari just got quiet because he doesn't know what else to say to him.

She now notices that Jeno grabs his phone and calls someone. "Hello Dad?" Jeno says. "I'm gonna be late. Jaehyun hyung needs back up. And Mr. Jung wants to talk to me when I bring home Nari." Jeno hears his dad laughing from the other line.

"Alright, just stay safe out there. And don't be intimidated by them alright, they won't bite you at least." Jeno's father says to him. Jeno smiles at his dad's dry joke. That's where he got it from.

"Your mother won't be happy that you're going home late. But tell her you said hi." "Alright bye dad!" With that he hangs up his phone. Nari looks at him and looks back at her window. "My dad wants to have a talk with you?" She asks him. "Yeah, I was talking to him before we left." Jeno replied to her. Making Nari's suspicions satisfied.

He looks at him and asks. "What are you guys gonna talk about?" "I'm not sure, he didn't specify." Jeno's eyes were fixed on the road. Nari wanted to ask more. So that the car ride wouldn't get that awkward "What do you think it's about?" She first asks. "Not sure." Jeno shrugs.

"Oh you're gonna get promoted?"

She tried to predict. "I hope not, if I do I have to be with you more, we both can't take it." He answers her, which made her laugh a bit. Jeno threw another quick glance due to her reaction. "Okay okay, you're probably gonna get demoted." She jokes. Jeno snickers at that and joins in the bit.

"Ooh I hope I will! I need more time for studying." He says. Which makes them wince because the just remember they had to study for finals.

"Shit! Fuck me! I forgot we had finals! Thanks a lot you doofus." Nari punches Jeno shoulder lightly. Jeno did wince but it was also because he was driving so he had to look at the road and then look at Nari. "Okay I don't know which to react first? You hit me again? Or you said doofus? What is that?"

Nari laughs again because she says American slangs around Jeno all the time. And to be fair Jeno has good pronunciation when he mimics Nari. Probably because he makes fun of mark too. "Okay, it just means like loser or like weirdo, in that kind of way?" She sounds unsure, "Yeah that." "Okay whatever you say doofus." Nari was caught off guard and started laughing again.

They stopped by a red light. They were getting close to the Jung residence at last. Nari all reminded of their finals, she calls out Jeno. "Yo doofus." Jeno looks at her. "We should have a study together next week." Jeno nods in approval. "Sure! Ugh I do have to tell my parents that I'm gonna go home late again because of that." He sighs in exhaustion.

Nari scoffs at him, she's finds it a bit weird that Jeno who is someone her age and an adult, still needs their parent's approval. Jeno wondered why she scoffed at her. "What?" "Nothing." She says to him.

"I mean why do you need to inform your parents about this, you're an adult." She asks him. "Well for one, I still live in their roof. I don't ask them permission, I just need them to be aware." Jeno said nonchalantly.

"Why is that? Aren't your parents busy? Like they have other stuff to be worried about too." She asks him again. "That's true, but I'm still their child. It will put them at ease if they knew about my whereabouts. And also gives us a mutual trust and respect for each other." He says as if it were easy.

Nari was impressed, in the same time she was envious of him. Having a family that actually cares for each other. Actually one of the reasons why she kind of envy Jeno, is because of the relationship he has with his family.

She wanted that too.

Nari is alone with her thoughts again, making the car ride silent. She didn't notice the car moving and Jeno calling out for her. "You okay?" He asks out of concern. "Yeah, she's thinking about finals." She lied.

Jeno hummed in agreement. "If I don't have any missions tomorrow, we can start by then?" He offers, earning a smile from Nari. "Sure."

Just as she says that they finally reach the Jung's residence. They hop by security, enter the house and park the car, and just like that Nari is home.

They got out off the car. Nari opening her door, but Jeno wanted too, but Nari was an independent woman. They pass by the door that was there in the garage. The two talked about what subjects they should do an advanced study on.

Nari stops by her tracks when she sees someone she had been longing for.

"Mom?"
