"This is so weird." Jeno laughs. "Promise me you will kill Haechan." Nari jokes at him. The two try to make some conversation while the are dancing. Thanks to Haechan. They were hand at hand. "I'm surprised your hands aren't sweaty." Nari randomly says. Jeno snickers at the girl's remark. "Why all of a sudden?" "When I was in America, we had a formal event when in middle school and a guy asks me out to dance, but he had sweaty hands. It was gross." She cringes at the memory.

"He was nervous, most likely." Jeno says. "Yeah maybe, or he just has sweaty hands." She laughs. "Hey don't hate on sweaty hands, everyone's is different." He says sarcastically. Rolls her eyes trying not to curl her lips into a smile.

"But I'm hey I'm the lucky dude that doesn't get sweaty hands right?" Nari chuckles at Jeno. Now then two went back to side. Since they were just talking nonsense with each other right? Or just waiting to start another fight again? "Right because the one and only Lee Jeno doesn't get nervous." Nari says

A waiter carrying champagne passes by and Nari takes one. She looks at Jeno if he wanted some but respectfully declined. The two thanked the waiter and the waiter walked away. Nari takes a sip from the champagne. Nari looks at Jeno and she only notices what his suit looks like.

Sungchan really did a good job with these. She thinks to herself, all happy for her little brother.

"Is that you? Or is the champagne taking over? It's rude to stare." Jeno smirked at her. Nari wanted to throw the middle finger at him but controlled herself. But just made contact with him and give him a snark. "I'm staring at the suit, not at your ugly ass." Jeno gives Nari an eye smile.

"You know I got a lot of compliments with the suit." Jeno brags at her. "Thanks to Sungchan, don't forget." Nari says. "Obviously, because of him I'm expecting a lot of missed calls by now." Jeno says. Nari looks him up and down to see if he is hearing himself. "Missed calls? Could be from Taeyong or your mom." Nari jokes. On the other hand he takes it seriously, checks his pockets, to check his phone.

No missed calls. He sees no notifications in his phone.

Nari laughs at him for actually checking his phone. Jeno looks at her in relief because his family could scold him any minute. "None, I don't have any missed calls. I meant girls would call me." He defends himself again. Nari cocks her eyebrow. "Did you actually give them your number?" She asks.

"No..." Jeno says and Nari brust out laughing, quickly covering her mouth. Jeno just stared at her. He never knew that her laugh could be amusing. "I'm sorry...I'm sorry... I don't know why I found that funny..."' she says. Jeno gives her a smile of reassurance.

The two just stand there. Nari sipping more of the champagne. Jeno just being Jeno. The music was know more slow, more melodic. Jeno looks at the dance floor being filled again. He sees Jaemin and Jiyoung together in the far left where no one could really see. And they were dancing together. He sees his parents having a good time. He looks at Nari at again. Thinking what he should do.

"You wanna dance?" Jeno awkwardly ask.

"Again? We just got out of there and you wanna go back there?" Nari finishes her champagne and places it in a table near her. Jeno ignores her and just takes her hand and pulls her to the dance floor. Nari with a tired face made Jeno snicker a bit.

The danced with the sweet melody playing. Jeno took her hand. He took the other one to lift up her elbow to put up with her hand to his shoulder. They swayed around with the music.

Nari then smiles because she can't take this whole thing seriously. "This is cheesy." She laughs. "You know a lot of girls would think this is a sweet gesture." Jeno said which made Nari roll her eyes.

"Right... because dancing with the girls in Haechan's frat party, this is nothing new to you." Nari was satisfied with Jeno's reaction.

"Look at Jaemin and Jiyoung." Jeno said. It made Nari looked for the direction in where her best friend would be.

It was a sweet sight of Jiyoung and Jaemin's forehead being pressed together. Closing their eyes feeling each other and the music. They truly are meant to be.

"Isn't that nice." Nari said being all proud for her best friend.

"More like disgusting."

Jeno ruin the moment. The two then laughed again. It was mixed emotions they felt happy for their friends but for the love of god it's actually disgusting. "Let's just not ruin their moment"  she gives shoots a glare at Jeno.

"You mean we can talk shit about this more later." Jeno says while Nari slaps his shoulder. "Yes." The two continue to dance. Jeno was fine, so was Nari. They tried to not look awkward. Nari would get annoyed when Jeno wouldn't tell her when he would pull her out for a turn or something. Which made him amused.

Nari would look around the room. To see if they are some familiar faces or not. She looks around the room. But she made eye contact with the person she had uncomfortable encounters earlier.

Nam Jae-hwa

The moment she saw him again. He saw her too, he made eye contact to her. Which caused her to drop Jeno's hand, Jae-hwa made her forget that she was Jeno. Jeno concerned on why she was tensed again and what he was staring at. And he saw his face. He turned back at Nari. Her frightened face stared at. Jeno's soul.

"Nari" He called her

Nari immediately turned to look at him. "I'm sorry." She looks down at the floor. Jeno already knew that she would see Jae-hwa soon again this gala. He could tell it made her uneasy. So he thinks the more Nari see this stupid guy it's gonna make her uncomfortable.

"Hey you wanna get out of here?" He awkwardly ask. Nari looks at him all weird again. Jeno quickly realizes what she taught on what he was saying. "No no not like that- I mean ditch this and like- get real food or something." Jeno spoke too fast, luckily Nari did understand what he said..

"Yes, this whole party is boring as fuck." Without hesitation. The Jeno pulls her in and the two got out of the party side by side.

"Let's go!"
