-Faith-
I felt a slight kick to my temple from the metal firearm. I could feel my heart racing at the speed of light, making me nauseous with anticipation.
Why wasn't I bleeding out on the floor dying
He shot me..
I felt it hit me.
I slowly opened my eyes to see the same surroundings as two minutes ago. Calum still held the gun to my head with his stupid smug grin, Ashton still had me pinned against the wall.
"But..y-you shot me?" I finally spoke, my voice shaky along with my trembling fingers.
"The gun was empty"
"Get out" Ashton barked and I took no further second to take to my feet and flee. I raced down the hallway, down the stairs and out the door to my car.
Holy shit.
I was almost just killed.
In a matter of several seconds I could've had my brains blown out.
My first instinct was to call Luke, my trembling hands held my phone as I tapped his contact and hit call. It rung around two times before it went to voicemail.
I tried it again.
It barely had time to ring once before it sent me to voicemail.
He was sending me to voicemail...
I put my phone back into the console and plugged it in before starting my car and driving off. I just needed to sleep this off.
I couldn't go home.
I couldn't face my parents like this.
I turned around and headed the other way onto the highway. I stayed on for a while until I saw nice little motel off to the side.
It seemed nice and non roach infested, so I pulled off and parked in the tiny lot. There was about 12 rooms and seven other cars in the parking lot.
My body still trembling with fear I locked my car and grabbed my things. I didn't have extra clothes in my car, although I'm blaming myself for not thinking of that now. I grabbed my purse, phone and whatever coins I could find in the car. I need whatever money I can get to be able to pay for my food.
Luckily the rooms were a lot cheaper than I expected. I only had to pay about $250 for a week. I don't know how long I'm staying but I might as well pay ahead.
I used my debit card that my parents gave me to use for emergency use or if I ever need to pull out money on the spot. Call me spoiled but I hated carrying around actual cash.
As soon as I got settled into my room for the week I went down to the dining hall. I glanced up at the clock seeing as now it was 3:27 , That meant lunch was way overdue.
I waited patiently in line looking up at the menu. I'd decided on getting a simple salad when I heard footsteps approach and stop behind me.
Just from my senses around me I could tell that this human was tall, large, and staring holes into my back.
I didn't want to turn around and look at the person because I didn't want to be a creep so I went up, ordered and kept my head down as I walked back over to the booth I'd decided on when I first came inside.
I kept my head down focused on the table in front of me, afraid that if I looked up the figure would spot me and hurt me.
I stayed like this for a while until I felt a tap on the table. I ignored until they spoke up.
A nice husky voice spoke out the words I dreaded so terribly in this moment
"Do you mind if I join you"
